Thanks Vines! I appreciate the slap. I know some of you must be like "What the hell is her problem..?" It's a little embarrassing but I have to be honest with all of you in that I do have panic disorder and I've been really triggered by that pulmonary doctor saying "my ass is on the line" on Monday. So that's part of the reason. One that anxiety comes in it kind of erases rational thought and thinking. The only thing that calms it down is a someone else "talking it down" in a real grounded way. SO thanks

I couldn't sleep last night. I am so worried about the surgery. It's more so the after of the surgery worrying me. I am going through a bad flare of fibromyalgia and asmtha right now, so I am worried how my body will react to the surgery. I'm so worried I will not heal right or my lungs will have such a rough time I will end up in serious condition.. So worried.:help:

They said they would be weighing me. They are strict about this rule. I should probably fast huh? I have until Monday morning

Hi Queenie. Well, it's a relief to hear you don't have the Cushings, but I know you have further disappointment in that you have no idea what is wrong. Didn't you mention you have PCOS? The reason I mention that is I have PCOS and I have all your symptoms. ALL of them. They also tested me for Cushings, and I went through all the thyroid tests too. They don't have a clue and are chalking it up to the PCOS.

Mini Me!!!!! I just found out last night. I'm the first surgery at 7:30 !!!!! So when your getting there...I'll be getting banded! I have to be there at 5:30!! Which means we are getting up at 4 am!:faint: I'm so nervous too. Send a blessing at that time if you remember, and I'll send one right now to you because I'll be three sheets to the wind by the time you arrive.

I know the surgeons say this is rare and chances are slim, but heck...just on this little board it isn't rare! I have to woder if the band can be in anyone long term? And if it can't, then why we do we go through this? :-(

I went to the ER once for stomach pains when I was 22. They actually laughed at me. I heard the nurses and doctor saying "She is in because her tummy hurts..boo-hoo". They released me and I went to my GP who finally found out I had an ulcer. Jerks.

Wow Joanne, this is terrible news. I've been reading about the problems you have been experiencing, but didn't expect THIS. I thought they would come up with something. SO sorry.

hehehe Thankee Vines. The surgeon's office said I'm the first one out the gate Monday morning, which means a 5:50 call time. We have a drive, so we will be getting up at 4 am. Yikes! Dancer, that is very pretty. I love fireflies too.

Hey Banderlarians of Bandlandia! I will be having my surgery on Monday. Reading the message board makes me very nervous about PBing. Besides the pain involved, which sounds horrible, I have panic/anxiety disorder so I'll know I'll go into a panic. There have been times I have almost passed out from anxiety. How can I help avoid this horror? ANd when they say small sips, small bites, exactly how small is "small" ?

How do you find out? By PBing? Man, that's stinks!

None of the docs seem to get that it's not that we can't go on a diet, it's that it doesn't STICK. Hunger always wins out in the end and the weight comes back.

Thank you three ladies for replying, it makes me feel SO MUCH better to know you have been through it and understand what I am going through. It would be a major relief if the weight loss helped me during that time of the month. It's so bad everything stops. I can't do anything but feel very sick on the couch.
