Bless each and every one of you. Your miles away and on the Internet, but your support really does help so much, as do your prayer. I will keep you all posted and the may 1st scheduling still stands. I went and got a massage today. I can't afford it, so a friend who is in massage school did it for free because I'm such a wreck. Hearing stories that all was well, or success stories helps too. *HUGS***

taking a break from LBT--pointless
NeenBand replied to vinesqueen's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Vines, although you will be missed, I can understand why you'd be disheartened seeing all the tickers with losses when you struggle so much. ALthough maybe hanging out in the unbanded forum would help, or just take a break and come back. Hey, maybe even start your own forum or a section for Bandsters with hormonal issues who are struggling?? -
Thanks donna and gentlespirit. I took both your recommendations and called back. They are going to call me back to see if they can fit me in for Tuesday. My doctor is in high demand, he is very good. Donna, I find your words that nothing bad is going on strangely calming and reassuring. :-)

Thanks Donna. I'm trying. I had to take a 1/2 Xnanax to stop from shaking. I've been having really, really heavy and painful periods. SO bad I'm becoming anemic. It just goes to show how fast your life can change from one moment to the next. If anyone would care to say a prayer, blessing or send light to this situation I would be thankful.

Thanks ALex. Your so right, they are scary. Funny how the world just stopped as of 30 minutes ago. I was thinking of going to the store, going to a concert in a few weeks. Now I don't care about it. Just feel like curling up in a ball. Fear is powerful.

I love me some Boca Burgers. Good stuff.

On May 1st they are going to do a sonogram with some sort of solution, to take a look at the walls of my uterus. He said these cells are normally not present with a pap. The cervical cells looked normal. My mom had uterine cancer. I'm shaking.
-
This is exactly what bothers me about it.
-
Okay, will do. Thanks Jack. 30 mins on juice and a cracker? WOW. I'm defo eating too fast. lol

Did any bandsters eat too much Easter candy?
NeenBand replied to Angels's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I ate a whole 4 oz solid chocolate easter bunny! It was delicious but it gave me a huge stomach and head ache. -
You too? Yes, I think it's food -band related. For you, is it eating too much or too fast? No way my doc is going to give me a fill until I can eat solids without pain. It's going to slow my loss, but I'd rather that than cause damage. A PB "Productive Burp"is a nice way of saying vomiting your food back up. They say on the forum that your moth gets all slimey first and you get a golfball in your chest, I've never had one, thank god.

Hey lady, Thanks for checking in. :-) Well the pain went away after a few hours. In speaking with my partner, he said I am eating too fast. He said he watches me and it just seems too fast. Your right, I am slow to heal. I have chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia and I think that is what is contributing to this. But I think I may have eaten the smashed tater too fast. I have always inhaled my food and "slow" to me may be not the "slow" the band needs. What is SLOW to the rest of you? Like, eat a tiny bite, chew and put it down for how long?? Doctor says to come in and see him in two weeks if all goes well of soft, and try to re-introduce after going easy. I sure hope that's all it is. Either way , I'm not a happy camper. I wish I was normal, like most other banders.

awww..damn. Pain is back. I just had about 3/4 c of mashed potato and I have pain in the back...This is becoming painful, frusterating and worrisome. I'm worried something is wrong with me. :-(
-
Thankee thebestme, I couldn't have done it without you.
-
Just got off the phone with the doctor. He said the pain is from me not chewing well enough, eating too fast or the food doesn't agree with me. I have to go back on soft foods and then try again. He said it's a learning process. This kind of stinks. I was feeling so much more full of the solids and glad to be eating again. Eating the soft foods makes me hungry and think about food all day. I thought I was eating slow and tiny. I guess not. :/ He also said no fills! None! Until I can eat solids normally.

SO true. For example, I spent about 30 min on my post in the vegetarian thread posting about good cookbooks, finding the website for them etc.And in another light, I think people forget that many newbies do searches to see if their questions or situation has been discussed before. Deleting threads can short-change others, getting the info they seek. I deleted mine today to move it to a more appropiate section, no one had posted in it, but I would never have deleted it if people were in discussion.
-
Good luck to you too Ruthie!! Honestly, I had not thought about the scarring that takes place due to the band being there (as Alex mentioned This would explain why people like Decarla who have had it removed still feel something.
-
Ruthie, I have no answers but wanted to post support. You sound like you've had a rough and uncertain time of it. I hope you find the answers and help you need.
-
Thank you Sahnna and thebestme! It's defo band related. I have been on full liquid and mushies today and so far no back pain. Is it weird to be 6 weeks out and have trouble eating solids?? I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow morning.
-
Why was it deleted? It had good information. I wish they hadn't. It's helpful, especially for newbies doing searches for exactly what we were discussing. When I was new, I did and found nothing.
-
I defo felt like that, for about 3 weeks. It only went away within the past 2 really.
-
I had my surgery March 13th and I still have some discomfort, especially when I laugh. It was more intense the forst 2-3 weeks.
-
Hey! The vegetarian discussion was deleted. :-( WTF??
-
Hi ALl! No more chocolate bunnies! I got a huge headache from it too...lol Doc said 6 weeks after OP, but I know everyone's body follows their own schedule and wanted to hear your thoughts.

Pouch Packing - When Enough Is Enough
NeenBand replied to NJChick's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Eileen, I am asking myself the same question. I have not had a filled yet, but I am not not full on 1 cup pf food, but 1 1/2 seems to be perfect. But is that pouch packing? AM I stretching my pouch???
