Am I normal?
Deactivatedfatgal replied to Candigal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Very normal I have lost 21 pds and will be three weeks post op tommorow. I'm going to start going back to gym tommorow as I'm now pain free! Stalls are part of this journey we also went through a traumatic calorie reduction in the beginning so our body's had to adjust. We will all lose at different rates as well. -

You are so gorgeous! Congrats to you! I was also self pay and I thought where will I get the 13k from? I was so determined to change my life that nothing could have stopped me. I failed every diet, lost 40 gained 50, truly yoyoed for years! I'm only 25 but I felt the comordities creeping in and had to act fast! -

So I was sleeved on 3/13. Today is 16 days post op. I have lost around 20 pounds so far. I have been able to increase my Protein intake as well as my Water and I am so happy about that! No complications so far. So glad I got sleeved. My bmi was 46.1 due to me being so petite. At "4'11" my highest weight was 235! I am currently 211 pds and I am already seeing the difference. I have had NO complications thus far. I went through the phase of regret for a few days but as days went on it got better. I feel like the new normal "me". I plan on using this tool to create a more active life for myself. I feel lighter now and more energized than ever! My doc gave me the green light to start going to the gym so I plan on doing that monday which will be (3) weeks post op for me . I will continue to share my progress with my fellow sleevers. Thanks to all who have HELPED me so far.

Mistake??
Deactivatedfatgal replied to JessT.andVSG's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Regret is such a common feeling after wls. I literally cried the first few days because I wanted to go back in time and reverse it. I'm now 16 days post op and I am so happy I did this. I feel like my old self now and the weight is falling off. the gas pain and pain you are feeling will be gone before you know it! Walk around as much as you can and get plenty of rest. congrats to you for taking back control of your life. -
Best decision I ever made was sleeved 3/13 good luck ladies!

14 days post op 6 wks Pregnant
Deactivatedfatgal replied to Marcella Restrepo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The facility that did your surgery should have he led for pregnancy before the procedure. This could be dangerous for both mom and fetus. Call your DR asap -
So I had inflamed hemmroids after having kid. I used apple cider vinegar by pouring some on swab and wiping the infected area with it, and I be damned, that cured it for me

Sip Sip Sip ... Not Me !!
Deactivatedfatgal replied to ayanna_vsg's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That is very true, it does get better! -
Premier protein is all I can tolerate. The whey makes me gage like nobodies business!

I have my two week follow up Tuesday and I will definitely mention it to my dr, but many people on a forum had the incision discomfort/pain for a few weeks and then it went away. Better to be safe than sorry tho!
-
Yep, same exact thing! We must remember our organ was removed from the main in incision location and then it was stitched up. It's always a sting or burning pain for me but as time goes on it will get better!

Regretting it
Deactivatedfatgal replied to vsg2266's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went through this first few days, and I was reminded why I wanted my stomach reduced! I would literally gorge and eat whatever and feel sick afterwards, never going back to that. We had a pizza party yesterday at work and all my coworkers are eating this greasy huge slices of pizza & guess what? I didn't crave an ounce of it! This is a new chance for me & im so excited! 12dpo -
