Did you have WLS? The audacity of some.
Deactivatedfatgal replied to Deactivatedfatgal's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
@bostongal1012 I understand your view but with women it's so different. Nothing but judgement and claiming WLS was the easy way out, and ONLY a fool would say that. The stigma should be broken by now but it's not. I got so much flack from my last job due to losing weight on my own & I refuSe I give people that ability to chirp like birds about me, again. -

band to sleeve pain and anxiety
Deactivatedfatgal replied to Green1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm no expert but I can say that when I had my procedure, I felt slot of pulling, burning from the stitches that were placed inside and it subsided after a few weeks. Also I do not think a second opinion would hurt. I hope you find relief and get answers soon. -

Year after surgery, stomach stretched too much??
Deactivatedfatgal replied to swall22's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just read that during first 6 months stomach can hold 1-2ounces, 6 months it can hold 4-6 and at 1 year and beyond it can hold 6-8 ounces. If we were to only eat a few bites of food long term it would be catastrophic to our health and we would be malnourished, the early restriction is great for rapid weight loss in he beginning. Like commenter above me, size doesn't matter as much as what we put in our mouth. Hope this helps. -

Are there foods that are dangerous for your new stomach? Not unhealthy I mean dangerous
Deactivatedfatgal replied to trekker954's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I am unsure but I do know you risk stomach rupturing if you gorge eat, but I would imagine you would have to try and be a food competitor to do that & with how small our stomachs are, it would seem unlikely anyone would eat until they make stomach explode. -
how many calories should I eat?
Deactivatedfatgal replied to Fresh_Start17's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know for me it's 750 but should eventually increase to 1000 and I'm 6 weeks out. Best of luck. I also struggle to get calories in. I don't want my body to go into starvation mode. So I focus on my protein -

Menstrual Cycles Changes After VSG?
Deactivatedfatgal replied to HeatherK_VSG's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You should check out this YouTuber, can't think of her name but basically she went through same as you & she and her husband had three kids after her vsg. I believe it will cure our fertility issues because excess weight is so hard on our bodies. -
Getting pregnant
Deactivatedfatgal replied to charley27's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
When I gained a ton of weight I was convinced I had pcos but nope, the weight gain made my cycles irregular & I was having hard time to conceive. I was warned that I needed to be on bc for 12 months after vsg so I am excited to start trying after my one year post op I'm 25 yo also. -
March sleevers hows everyone doing??
Deactivatedfatgal replied to The thinner me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Absolutely! My biggest loss was first 14 days, I was struggling to get in liquids & then I stopped seeing scale move. I could feel that I was smaller, like I was shedding inches. THe three week stall broke and I'm 3 pds away from onederland. 😂 I'm six weeks out now -

How long does it take you to eat three slices of turkey bacon? I can eat one slice of bacon and two bites of egg in one sitting. The uncomfortable feeling I get when I'm full turns me off from eating. -
Gagging and throwing up
Deactivatedfatgal replied to Techeliza's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I called my dr yesterday for same reason, at nearly 6 weeks nausea just hit me like a plague, no committing though. He told me to ensure I'm getting my liquids in and taking something for constipation. -
