The scale is not the only measure of success! Don't forget that! If you've gone down two sizes in clothes, it's obvious you are losing fat, even if the scale says you're not losing "weight". Depending on your height and BMI, your loss might be right on target. Remember that many people who are losing 40-60 lbs in this time period are starting at a much higher weight that 237. Your journey is your own. How about doing some before and after photos, or doing some measurements so you have that numbers record to refer to?

And just think... did you ever do Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig or the Cabbage Soup diet (I remember my mom doing that one!) Did you ever lose 16lbs in nine weeks on those? And keep them off? That's the magic right there. Don't let this discourage you. Focus on your protein and your water and trust the surgery to do the rest. If the scale is making you disheartened to the point of falling off the wagon... hide the scale for awhile!

As for sunflower seeds, I'm not sure if they're like a nut in that they're very calorie dense. Are you measuring your portions and tracking how much you are eating? I am sure they are a healthy snack that can fit into your eating plan, but if you're worried they're slowing your weight loss, start taking account of how many you're eating and how they fit into your over all day's calories.
