Sip Sip Sip ... Not Me !!
Please replied to ayanna_vsg's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I had my Leak test done the day after surgery, the nurse said "watch the screen as you drink" so you drink the chalky drink,& you can see your tiny skinny little stomach take the fluid, mine emptied really fast and the intestines went to work super fast he said, so that was good news! So emptying fast from fluids is good news, I'm 6days post op, no nausea , nothing negative (so far) & and I have no issues getting my protein shakes in or my water. When I eat Greek yogurt watered down, things slow down and I get full, usually I can eat it all, but I stirred in 1 tablespoon of peanut butter (NUT recommended)& i got full before being able to finish it. So everyone's a little different , just don't test it like someone else said, you don't need the tempatations. Have a great day! -

Yours was focused on my opinion, it wasn't your opinion. It was "what was wrong with mine" -

Your very pushy. I say it again , " it's not my job and I do it feel responsible to do so" if a people catch a clue and realize I don't want to talk about it , they won't hear BS, if they push me...they are getting a BS story ...they shouldn't be pushy like you ,trying to be passive aggressive and change people's mind. Why don't you get a blog and shout it to the world, if you feel like your some kind of spokesman for WLS. I think there's enough on the web already. stay strong and goodluck to everyone! -

And it's not our job to edcucate people about weight loss, decisions are tough enough without people saying it's our job to edcucate. Do what you want ! -

Only my Husband knows. I told everyone I'm doing a Fad diet. Which isn't unlike me. I did loose a pound a day drinking 80%veggie 20% fruit fresh made juice , for 24 days. So I told everyone I was going for 60 days (which is how much weight I have to loose) so we'll see! -
Followednthe pre-op diet to a T, and I had no problems. Feeling pretty good , tomorrow's day 4 post op. Looking forward to the future! goodluck everyone.

Honestly I wouldn't no. I'm not a big believer in paid therapy from others especially people you don't know, I do believe in working on ourselves and talking , but everyone I know that heads to these support groups can't seem to let anything go. ....but maybe for some they work (just my own opinion)

You might wanna watch slim fast stuff. They have a lot of junk in them and Carbs.

Wow , you guys are doing great. I'm really surprised how well I feel. I was expecting the worst. I came alone to Mexico to the OCC, I was glad I did come alone as I didn't have to worry about how my companion or Husband was doing . I just rested and walked. I'm at the same pounds as pre-surgery (which is expected) hopefully I'll start loosing once the inflammation settles down. I drank 2 litres yesterday (day 3) so I'm pretty happy with that. have a great Day!

Headaches during pre-op liquid diet?
Please replied to GMen88's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your detoxing from a sugar, whatever's in processed foods and maybe caffeine. Every time I did a cleanse I got that for 3-4 days . It might last a week, but it'll go. -
I'm 4 days away! Good luck to you, May everything go great for you!

I am I crazy for considering surgery
Please replied to Apple1's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I'm 5'10 and I was 223 pounds when I called for an appointment. It doesn't matter if your 50 or 150 pounds overweight , if you feel that discouragement for a long time regaining the weight you loss, never wanting to be seen in a bathing suit, hating yourself for what you see in the mirror...to me yes there's a risk, but if your unhappy and you feel like the surgery is the right thing for you, then why not. -

Anyone get lightheaded?
Please replied to JerseyJules's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well if it's that bad, you should maybe get your blood work done, if you try an electrolyte drink, keep in mind , you gotta drink a lot . Can you check your own BP. Be very careful! -
Anyone get lightheaded?
Please replied to JerseyJules's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes for sure, & if your lying down for longer periods and jump up quicker then it gets worse. It'll likely go away, check your blood pressure sitting & standing. Your blood pressure might be a little low from the sudden weight loss and you likely have less sodium in your system. Drink some light Gatorade , drinking water hydrates you, but you still need proper electrolytes.
