  1. I'm not to sure why it would matter, unless you have a BMI Like under 32, if your gonna need a tummy tuck anyway...your scars are all removed except the highest one, when they pull that skin down.
  2. Holy crap! 80% on this site regret their decision? ....I Sure don't!

    3 week stall

I've also been stalled for 2 weeks & I had my surgery March 23rd. I'm not worried though , it seems to happen to almost everyone at this stage. It'd be nice to drop a few, but I'm sure it'll come. I lost 14 pounds with the pre-op and 14 pounds 2 weeks post ...now nothing.
  4. I bought some great flavoured water with zero calories at the airport. You might find different people take different things based on others experience. Like I heard to take a heating pad(I did) but I never used it, my room was so warm and lots of blankets on the bed, it was so cozy. I'd take things based on others that had it done at the same place.i went to the OCC & The hotel we stayed at had broth and Popsicles specifically for WLS patients & water in the room, so we didn't need anything. We all went shopping the day after and the 2days post op, everyone felt good.
  5. Maybe it's heart burn or acid , try something for that.
  6. I went to the OCC in Mexico. Everyone had a great experience. They cost more, but I was confident in them. My BMI was 31 , I did have a Canadian option for 19000(twice the amount) but they don't have near the experience the OCC has.
  7. Yes, mine didn't say that, I meant ...it's not like they go around saying. "I'm alright, I could do a decent job" and there's no way to prove who's doctors better if they all have good numbers & patients health going into things are huge.
  8. We store a lot of hormones in our Fat, so loosing weight quickly can give you a sudden change in moods for sure!
  9. Well my Doctor also would say that was a fact about him as well, what Doctor wouldn't.
  10. You said she travelled with her Mother, then at the end, you said she travelled alone?

    Dealing with an unsupportive husband...help!

I don't mean this in a rude way, but you seem very needy. There's no reson you need him at appointments. I mean is 2 people taking time off work for one persons appointments. He's just scared something will happen to you, maybe if you seemed stronger , he would too. I went for my surgery alone to mexico and the husband stayed home with the kids. He wasn't crazy about the idea, but it's not his body. Anyway, as I said.....please don't take it the wrong way, be strong and attend your meetings on your own. my husband wouldn't attend a meeting with me either, not that I'd asked, but I wouldn't even expect him to you. We been together 20 years and have a great relationship, but I did it for me and I never let on I was scared or it would scare him.
  12. I haven't, to be honest I went with the OCC, cause they were on Operha , Dr.oz and another day time news show.... I would stick to there or with Dr.illan at oasis I think. Why go to the unknown.
  13. 7500-9200 in Canadian dollars , but the OCC is one of the more expensive places. I do believe many people had great Success with Dr.illan , I think... at a much lower cost like 5500 Canadian. Just ask around in here, but make sure you pick a well known place, you need to have heard from lots of others, not 2 or 3...(I'm my books anyway) good Luck!
  14. Nutrisystem might cost as much as some lypo or fat freezing procedure, I'd double check! I looked into herbal magic one time, and it worked out to be 110$/pound!!! So just weigh your options ! Good luck ! And congratulations on the weight Loss!!!!

    Sugar Addiction

I think everyone's different, so no one knows how you'll feel. I'm an over eater of fats and food in General, I would like to eat sweets, but always managed to control sweets (somewhat) over food in General, ( none in the house) I can't say anything changed for me, I'd still love to eat sweets, maybe even more, cause I know they are easier to get down at 3.5 weeks post-op, but I stay clear and don't have them in the house. I've heard of people hating chocolate after surgery....no such luck for me. I recovered very fast and felt normal right away, I can drink water almost as fast as before, but I can't eat much of course. Remember sweets are like water, you can get lots into you, they dissolve so easily....but they put the pounds on!
  16. Just be careful, I took 2 and got so stoned, I had the puke bucket out, I could hardly stand....I cried over "floppy arm" ...I was completely baked... I never had an issue, until the low carb diet pre-op, my ability to metabolize meds has changed dramatically .
  17. I went to the OCC Mexico.
  18. I drink like a litre and finish it 15 min before my meal. I'm sick of fluids by the time I eat. I was never a person that needed a drink with my meal though.
  19. I've seen a few commercials, I think the show has a pretty small scale audience, in the big picture. I definitely don't think Edcucated or Intellegent people would use her story solely to get a full picture. It's "reality" TV, it's meant to be entertaining. I had a sleeve, and never looked to see her story, I wouldn't help her ratings. To me personally I don't care what she does, I just hope it's better for her poor Family.

    Healing quickly

Day 17, is the beginning of soft foods for my surgeons rules & lots of others are allowed what you have. Different surgeons have different rules. We're allowed eggs and chicken. Chew chew chew. If he said it's fine , you need to do what he said. Everyone thinks their surgeon is the right one, so asking those types of questions brings out a lot of opinions , but there's not always a right or wrong .

    Good idea or naw?

My BMI was 31 going in . I lost more weight in the pre-op then I have in the same amount of time post-op. In 14 days I lost 14pounds. 2 weeks post op I lost 10 pounds . Im glad I did it as it's not such a shock to my system & I think it sets your mind on the right track. Remember the weight doesn't fly off, I'm already stalled, but I'm in no rush. I'm 2.5 weeks out.
  22. Please

All I can do is sleep

Yeah, I'm 2.5 weeks out and I feel great sometimes and other times I'm so lightheaded and dizzy. I get everyone breakfast, clean up...sweep the floor, sometimes I keep going, sometimes I need a 10minutes break....I was out pulling fencing wire and I could hardly stand after 2 hours (pretty light labour) just on our own land. I think pms Might be making things worse.
  23. I was just wondering how far out were you, when you had a leak? And was it from overheating? I'm 2weeks out, but just wondering. -Thanks
