:tired So now I get a call from my PCP and find out that I am H Pylori positive... I am thinking to myself... What.. what the hell is that and why do I have it!! :cry Well from my research, its a bateria in the stomach and it can cause gastritis and ulcers... Great. Now what does this mean for surgery. Well after going back and forth between the surgeon and my PCP, I find that I need to get on anti-biotics for the next two weeks. Then they will retest me in another two weeks... HOLD IT:omg: I have surgery in 3 weeks so now what. Well my surgeron office says that its cool, that some people are even on the meds when they go to surgery... well for me, I want on them ASAP. I heard they were some big azz pills and I dont want to be trying to figure out how to take them once I've been banded... Oh so my PCP says that he wants to see me first before he prescribes the meds... what the heck. He just saw me and he has to see me again before surgery for clearance so whats the big friggen deal. Just write the darn perscription so I can be on my merry way... Well thank goodness my Surgeons office said they would write it. But they wanted me to call my PCP to let him know so that I am not stepping on anyones toes... HELLOOOOO. this is my damn body, I am the one who has to take the darn meds, get the dang on band and deal with the dreaded INS people, so I dont really give a rats azz if I am stepping on toes... If it were not for my persistance, I would probably still be hung up on why my ins hadnt approved me yet (GEEZ, THATS A WHOLE NOTHER STORY :faint: ) Well anyways, after all that drama... I will be taking my meds starting today and am still on schedule to have my band.

sun B- bowl of lucky charms L- pizza hut personal pan cheese pizza D- Since I can't get anyone to bake me a cake around here, I decided to bake my own... Yellow w/ Vanilla frosting ummmm:hungry: and 3 cups of milk Mon B- bowl of lucky charms L- campbells firehouse chili D- Mc D's double quarter pounder w/ cheese and a sprite (got a lil emotional after my D's appt) S- another large slice of cake. Tues B- Cinnamon melts L- campbells firehouse chili S- internation s/f chai tea latti D- meatballs and some type of veggie S- last of the cake.. I promise!!!:rolleyes

Okay well, my week should have started out great... and it did... but I go to a doc appt yesterday and Damn, there went my week. I went for a follow up at my orthopedic doc and he tells me that I have cysts in my ankle causing ostheoarthritis... I am like huh?? I knew I have had problems since I had a ski injury back in 02, but now he tell me I need to hault on some thangs... Like my STEP AEROBICS... WHAT... un uh... no can do. Stepping is about the only exercise that I enjoy and gets me going. I do like to walk, but Step burns the calories... sighhhhh. So what the heck am I suppose to do now????:faint:

T... Two weeks is nothing... (though it may feel like eternity ) My surgeon required that we attend his seminar before we could even get an appt. sooo between waiting to go to the seminar and waiting to go to the consult, I was out like 2 darn months. He really had me calling him names :kev: LOL. Definatly take this time to read the boards and become familiar with people's accomplishments and setbacks... This is excellent knowledge. You cant really predict you outcome based on someone else's as we are all different, but it definately enlighens you as to what you should and should not be doing. Also, go out to obesityhelp.com. I LOVE reading the profile... I was actually addicted when I first encountered that site. Please put alot of blood sweat and tears on there. Its just awesome!! I am rooting for ya girl and we will both be banded in no-time!!!

Hey there! Just wanted to let you ladies (and gents) know that I have finally scheduled a date for surgery. I will officially be banded November 9, 2006 with Dr. Moazzez in Fairfax, VA. I am excited and am looking forward to the new LIGHTER me. You all have been such wonderful friends, sharing your stories and allowing me to learn through your experiences. I am so grateful to have came across LBT and met such wonderful people. Here's to Bandland!!!!

Sorry to hear she gave you all that drama.... She need to realize this is your life not hers. I cant stand when the doc act like that. Well its GREAT that you have your referral and now you can move on to the next stage. My suggestion... Call you ins co and find out exactly what their process is so you can be ahead of the game. With things like this, we need to be REAL AGRESSIVE!!!

Thanks for the compliment... dont think my hair has looked that nice in a while. I am rocking the ponytail these days. I am 5'7.5. Weighed in at the doc today at 242. Boy, 175 sounds so good right now... (sighhhhhh) Ms. Tia, we'll have to get to know each other... being that we're birth sistas, lol. Have a great day!

Nov 9th for me! I have scheduled and canceled and scheduled and canceled this surgery quite a few times... This one is for real!

Hey Lady! I am glad to see that u are have a WonDful Day! Today will be good for me too... oops too late, I already ate. Dang should have read the boards before lunch, LOL. I know exactly how u feel. I am depressed, dont even know how I am gonna give up the foods that I love so much. I am 5'7.25in (yes, I want my .25 inch Heaviest has been at 284, so my doc says.. Today is weigh in (I am a member of TOPs) so hopefully I lost since last tuesday. We should chat more... give each other motivation! Talk with ya manana!

K, I know exactly how you feel.. My Granny is the same way. She means well, but just urks me with all her talk about how I need to eat one time a day (a salad) and thats it... and then I will lose... LOL, gotta love her though.
