I haven't had surgery yet and am about a week into the first diet trial but I do understand the depression and anxiety. I think that's why I've put it off for so long. Just remember that you will have ups and downs. Find something small that you can do that will show you an accomplishment. It can be something as simple as cleaning a small section or competing another small task. Eventually they will get bigger. I hope this helps. When I get this way my mom always tells me to get out of my own head, easier said than done, but it helps.
