I am a 57 year old woman from New Jersey  who has struggled with my weight on and off since I was about 25. This Jersey Girl is ready to make the lifestyle changes that are needed to my now new healthy lifestyle of living.I have four adult children and 9 grandchildren and I love life. I have a zest for happiness. I am a three year breast cancer survivor of Her 2 + Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. I had a double Masectomy with reconstruction and sis 6 rounds of Chemo and a year of Herceptin. I am now on my new journey . I will be getting my VSG on 3/2/2017. I am excited and naturally a bit nervous. I am concerned for the hair loss as my hair came back thin and straight after my chemo ( & it used to be thick and curly.) I am going to order the biotin and vitamin patches today and take my vitamins faithfully.Very happy to be in the company of others here on BariatricPal.com.
