Thank you for the encouragement and the input. How long ago did you have your surgery? It just seems odd that I've been able to eat as much as I do so early. I have been thinking about doing a reset for a couple of days. We will see.

I am currently four months post op. I and able to eat a lot more than I thought I would be. I can eat a boca burger and a half a cup cottage cheese for a meal. I feel satisfied and I'm not full. To you WLS veterans out there, does this seem normal? It almost makes want to go and ask the surgeon to take more stomach out.

Thank you for your input. Thanks for the encouraging comments as well. I do stall quite a lot but I was a lower BMI case so my Doc told me to expect the stalls.

Thank you. I was a major over eater prior to my surgery, so it scares me that I'm eating too much. Other patients I know eat 4-5 bites and are full. I was like that like 2 weeks post op. Ughh

I stick very close to a low carb diet. I haven't eaten any bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, corn or sweets or sugary drinks/booze since my surgery. I drink my water. So, I definitely am sticking to the diet and I average 18,000 steps a day. I do look forward to eating and I eat until I'm satisfied. I over ate 2 times early on and felt like I was going to die so...some people I know eat like 3 bites and are full?!? What's going on? Maybe I chew better??? Or my stomach is bigger?

No bun, usually a slice of cheese and that's it.

I've lost 50 lbs.

I'm 3 months postop and I've lost 50lbs. I've developed a pain in my right hip area. Sometimes it feels like a strained hip flexor, sometimes it's an achy bone and sometimes it feels like an inflamed ovary or something. It's a deep pain and it is ruining my running[emoji35]. Has anyone else experienced this? Sw 230 ce 177

An excuse to get new shoes!!! Now that sounds like a great idea. I just bought a new pair maybe they're not right for me. Thanks for the input.

Ok thanks for the insight. I hope that's not what it is. I've heard how bad it can be. Sorry you've had to endure it so long

It easier to have some one to help. But it's possible by yourself. I was worried I was going to fall the first few days home. I was very dizzy. In the forum I read...it seems very very common. Housework is a no no but you're so sleepy you don't care.

I am 2 weeks post op. Feeling great. When did you veteran sleevers start doing housework. I need to vacuum!! But the Doc said no lifting over 10 lbs for 6 weeks. I was very active prior to being sleeved. My house is a mess help!!

5 weeks out and still feeling horrible.

I'm only 3 weeks post op. However, there is definitely something not right. I only get nauseous if I drink to fast or after I take my vitamins. I would definitely make an appointment and make sure there's not inflammation or something. I hope you feel better. -
Oh no, I have the same pain around my incisions from vacuuming. Have you seen the doctor? I hope it's not a hernia. Ugh. Thanks for the info.

4days Post op Feeling like why did I do this to myself
chache64 replied to ayanna_vsg's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your experience sounds like a rerun version of my experience. I had the light headed stuff for about a week. I felt like I was going to pass out a few times during that week. The second week it just went away. I actually gained weight after release from the hospital I was four-six pounds heavier than my pre surgery weight. Remember you probably did a "clean out" the night before and trauma will cause you to retain. Week two I was losing fast.... I'm week 3 now and have completely stalled, I was 35BMI when I started so I guess it's common it's frustrating tho -
Thanks for your reply. I went ahead and did some vacuuming. I have a little bit of soreness... sort of feels like I've done sit ups. Dusting, mopping even some light scrubbing hasn't been bad...I was just worried about vacuuming. You have a sweet hubby

Thanks for the reply. I have 3 dogs and 4 cats, so the hair can get a little crazy. I will wait though. The doctor said 6 weeks. I will wait at least 4. I will see if the neighbor teen would be interested in earning a little cash [emoji383]

Feb 2017 sleevers - how's everyone doing post-op?
chache64 replied to biginjapan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 5 days post op and have not lost any weight. The morning of surgery I was 212 I'm 215 now. I'm really frustrated. The bright side besides a little nauseousness I have had zero issues. -
I got a call this afternoon that there was a death in my doctors family. And my surgery was supposed to be Monday, 27 February. And now it is scheduled for Thursday 2 March. I will have been on the liquid diet for 16 days. Does anybody know if I go below 35 BMI will I still be able to go through with the surgery. I'm only 8 lbs from 35 BMI. If the surgery was on Monday I'd be fine....but Friday? I dunno

They did weigh me but it was just a formality. I was 3 lbs below the where I was supposed to be. No body said anything.

I have been walking. I feel a lot better since I had a shower and got cleaned up. Every time I was going to the bathroom to pee I'd feel like I was going to throw up. Thanks for your insight

I'm day 3 post op. I feel like I'm going to die. Please tell me it gets better.

Thank you. My doctor had a death in his family so I've been pushed to Thursday 2 March, so another 4 days on the liquid :(. I'm glad you're feeling ok. I hope the faintness goes away and you have a speedy recovery!
