My date was scheduled 2 months in advance. All documentation was submitted to the insurance company 2 weeks before my date. I called the insurance company every day with no decision and the "we're working on it" promise. I didn't get approved until about 3 hours before my scheduled date/time. As long as you communicate with your Dr and his staff and they are aware of and know you will not be able to get the operation without the approval of the insurance company and they are fine with that, you should be on track. Keep your eye on the prize and be good to yourself. It isn't easy, but, it is worth it. I have lost over 100 lbs and I feel like a new person. Sent from my SM-G930P using BariatricPal mobile app
