    my first fill tomrrw

I can only advise to stick to the post-surgery diet. I am supposed to eat 3 meals (1/4 cup each), and one snack. Both before my fill two weeks ago and after, I could probably eat all day. they say it will take a bit to get to the "green zone " Perfect fil, not hungry and still losing. I have lost a total of 30 but an very frustrated because even after a very traumatic first fill, I feel as if I could eat forever.

    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

Same thing. I was banded on 3/7 and am being filled tomorrow. I have not felt restriction since Easter Sunday. Desperate for that. Two weeks before surgery weighed 267 and now 239. Wish it were more but my lion is roaring all the time now. I do not eat more than the 2 ounces at a time but eat more often. can't wait for tomorrow :Dancing_wub:

    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

I used egg beaters and they were no problem going down, it just does not taste that good because of the time involved in eating, you have to microwave them to keep them hot. I did bump my fill up to monday 4/7 because i am not feeling restricted at all.
  8. I called my physician's office this morning and requested that they bump me up to the 7th of April, which is just over 4weeks but i am not feeling full at all and seem to be looking for food every 2 hours, not 3-4. They had no problem bringing me in but stated for me to stay at 2 ounces of food 3 times a day plus my one snack

    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

Hey there-- New to this board. Banded on 3/7/08. Have done really well but desperate to be filled as I tend to want to eat more than the recommended 1/4 cup. I am fighting it tooth and nail but could never say I am full. I still have 4 weeks until they fill me because at 6 weeks my doc is not there I am considering calling to be brought in at 5 weeks and see if they will see me. Anyone else experience that feeling?
  10. Thanks. I have lost well but i think that has to do with being on Optifast for two weeks prior and then the protein only drink for one week and I have done very well though and I think mentally that is what keeps us going. I did not even hate Easter dinner. My devilled egg was wonderful and for the first time probably ever, I didn't feel guilty, like I had overeaten and how could I. You know all the bad feelings associated with enjoying a meal. this is still the best tool and thing that i could have done for myself ever.
  11. How long would you say recovery lasts. I was banded at the same time and I really just started walking with a 2-mile tape this week as I had my gallbladder out also and felt awful last week.
  12. Oh by the way. I also had surgery 3/7/08. Please remember you aren't even three weeks until tomorrow
  13. My docs say you should really concentrate on protein. i think this will boost your metabolism . Low-fat yogurt, low fta cottage cheese, and low-fat peanut butter for a snack. I slowed down when they put me on food but it is still coming off.
  14. I am fromGreenville, NC
  15. No problems whatsoever. My timing would have been quicker but I had to wait for college to break. I am not unhappy at all. this has been the best thing I could have done. what a great tool for weight loss. My first postop was yesterday and I was down 15 from surgery date and 22 in all. yes. i was on OptiSource until yesterday. Can have cottage cheese, yogurt, peanut butter and eggs/egg substitute now. very happy
