    Pre op

Yep, felt the same! My surgery was 2/15, I just reminded myself that I did the research, I review all the information with my doctor, and I had failed for years trying to loose this weight, I needed to do this. And I prayed on it. Best of luck!

Sleeved on 2-20, looking for a buddy

My sleeve was 2/15, I'm down 18# since surgery. No pain, overall feel pretty good. Yesterday, the weather was nice so I went for a walk, then some light housework, and made dinner for the family. It was then I realized that I had been so busy that I had forgot to drink h20 for several hours, and I felt it. (The pre surgery me would have just drank down 20 oz with a straw in minutes. Not now.) I then spent the rest of the evening sipping water all night. I need to remember to drink while I'm working, Lifestyle changes post surgery, #learning curve. That's why physically I feel I can go back to work next week, I"m off till April. But mentally I need to stay off. I have short term disability ,so I am lucky, I know some have to return to work sooner. I saved up my vacation time from last year to supplement the STD in preparation for this. At work I'm so busy sometimes I don't drink or eat, I need to retrain myself before going back to work.

Not Tracking your food is a big mistake!

I need to track, with life being so busy, I forget what I have ate or drink if I don't track it. I use to use the Lose it app, which I still like, but just switched to my fitness pal app, and liking it. I have a fitbit too, I probably could just use that for food, but haven't tried it yet.

    1st pureed meal post op

I have another week of purred, before soft diet for 1 week, then regular. Thank goodness for protein water, it helps get the protein in. I am done with cottage cheese, makes me gag. Tuna so far mixed with a tbsp of lite mayo has been filling, but I"m about over that too. Grilled chicken chopped up small and then chewed completely has been good. Yogurt has been good, I can't do mash potatoes, makes me sick, thinking about roasting some sweet potatoes then mashing them. And i'm done with refried beans too. Can't wait to be done with this phase. Not sure what I want to eat, but I know what I don't want to eat! BUT.... we got this! Just need to keep moving along.

    Diet coke

I believe it's the carbonation that can cause pain and bloating for gas. I miss drinking my la croix sparkling waters, now I just add lime to my water.

    New to group- Hello

Hello, just found this February 2017 Sleevers forum. My surgery was 2/15, started pureed food March 1st, finally have not needed any pain meds for 6 days, feeling pretty good, some days more tired then others. I have another week of pureed before I can move up to soft. I'm not hungry, but hungry, if that makes sense..lol. I think I just don't want to eat pureed anymore, nothing really tastes good. Glad I found this forum HW 280 (1/16) SW 255 (2/15) CW 237 (3/6)
