Sept 20th I had a fill, I was very tight at first, but it did losen up...So, I did great for the first several weeks, never snacking only very small portions for my meals, now, it feels like I am starving all the time?!?! But I have really good restriction when I eat (I get the tight feeling in my chest if I eat to fast or swallow when it isn't completely chewed up) I have lost over 100 pounds but I have 50 I was to lose still and it's holding on for dear life! Any suggestions on what to try? I am open for anything cause I have never been like this since having the band. When I was hungry and snacking before it was because I needed a fill, but now, I don't know if I should get another one since I "feel" like I have good restriction. but not sure what to think about the being hungry. Thanks and I hope to hear your suggestions:)

All I can say is hang in there! I was kinda in the same boat, I couldnt exercise until a couple of months ago. I felt like I would drop over from a heart attack, let alone the pain in my knees and back. The weight started coming off on its own after the band. After awhile, I was able to start exercising. Now I work at a factory that I am on my feet 12 hour nights and feel great! 15 more pounds to onederland!! Good luck with your insurance and band~I hope it goes quickly for you!

Sorry I haven't checked in for awhile. Surgery was 4/23/08, I have lost 85 pounds, 1 st fill was this past wed. Thanks for adding mine!!

I had my first fill this past Wed. I was just over 5 months out, 2cc in 14cc band. I have lost about 80 pounds so far.

I think his crew is great! I flew from WI to Colorado to have this and I was self pay also. I was very scared that I was going to get out there and he would be in some back alley clinic or something. Anyway, That was my biggest worry, but when I got there, his office is in a huge clinic and the same with the surgery center. Everything went excellant with mine and I have lost 52 pounds so far. The only problem I had, was my oxygen level was low after surgery, so I had to rent an oxygen tank over night. Other then that, I am over a month out, still never feel hungry, I am eating 2 meals a day, 2 protien shakes a day, and I feel awesome!!

I was banded 4/23 and I am on soft foods right now, I can usually eat a packet of oatmeal for breakfast, small denny moore stew (5 oz) for dinner and about 5-7oz for supper and a cup of my protein shake 3 times a day. Is this about what you are getting in? More Less????? I just wanted to double check to see about where I am with everyone else

I was just wondering how long you waited after being banded until you ate out? What did you have?? I am really getting sick of soft foods and just want something different and my hubby mention maybe going out for supper this weekend and getting a small meal. :thumbup:

I just wanted to let everyone know I am leaving tonight, flying out in the morning to Denver Co. for the lap band surgery with Dr. Kirshenbaum on Wed. Please say a prayer for me and thanks for all the information I have learned on these boards and I will be back to read and learn more!!!

I am going to Denver Co for surgery with Dr Kirshenbaum. Flights were only 450 and lapband is only 9950 total there. (Didnt know if that was an option for you?)

Im not sure how to PM a person, but I am ready for the 23rd to get here I do know that!! I am on the pre op diet, Low carb low suger......I will be packing my stuff this weekend and leaving Monday night to fly out Tues. morning. I havent cheated 1 bit on my pre op diet so I am pleased by that!! What food items are you buying to have at home when you return? I know I will be getting lots of chicken broth and bottled water!

Awesome picture!! I love it, I am trying to think of the beatiful pictures I should be taking rather then focusing on being scared to death and crashing. I will be flying out early Tuesday morning, so hopefully everything goes good!!

I hope everything is going well with you. I leave for Colorado to have surgery with Dr Kirshenbaum on next week. I will fly out on Monday. What did he put you on for a pre op diet? Just curious if he puts everyone on the same diet. Well, Please let me know how it goes, Maybe you can ease my nerves a little!!:confused:
