  1. From my journal today: Sleeved on 2/14. Day 5 after surgery: Woke up again with extreme nausea this morning and pain in the center of my chest. I actually did gag and dry heave this morning. Once I was able to get all of my med down, I feel ok after 15-20 min. The doctor called to check on me this afternoon. He said he thinks the nausea is from the swelling in my stomach and that it's worse in the morning from laying there longer. Tomorrow I am going to try taking my medicine 30 min before I want to get out of the bed. I'm hoping this will ease me into the morning. I'm getting a little discouraged because I am not losing weight as fast as I expected. I haven't lost anything since I logged weight last.
  2. I am 5 days post op. I had weird numbness in my left thigh too. I asked my doctor about it, he said it was probably the way I was positioned on the OR table. It is slowly going away and I'm no longer concerned about it. I'd say give it 2-3 more days and you'll see it go away.

    Mornings are HARD! Anyone else?

Thank you millerlillygirl. I'm so scared I've done something I shouldn't have. I have small children and I really need to get back on track. Let me know what your doctor says about the tightness, please? I'm going to call mine again tomorrow.
  4. I am 5 days post op and having a really hard time. I'm having what feels like extreme heartburn usually happens about 10 seconds after I drink but sometimes happens when I move suddenly (like get up or bend down). Called the doctor Friday he put me on Levsin for spasms and Nexium for acid reflux (which I never chronically had before maybe 4x a year tops). And when I wake up first thing in the morning the nausea is so bad I gag like I'm going to throw up. I take nausea medicine and it goes away within 15-20 min. I'm wondering, did anyone else have all of this? How long did it take to go away? I can't imagine living like this the rest of my life. Please help!
