hi i was banded on 7/31 i too had your problem. did you stay overnight in the hospital if you did they loaded you up on fluids. im not trying to scare you but i was so swollen i couldnt swallow my own saliva i was hospitalized twice after surgery for dehydration as i could only drink a 1/2 oz of water in 3 days try drinking warm tea in the morning this seems to reduce the swelling and take liquid motrin as that helped alot also good luck you will do great i hope this helps you

ive been only been banded since 7/31 yes ive had reflux but im still in the learning faze of the diet and what ive learned is dont eat after 8 pm only liquids after 8

i had my surgery on 7/31 and went from 304 to 274 with no fills doc said i have the small band but ive been at this weight for over a week now so maybe i will get a fill on sept 10 keep the faith you will get there

i work in a sewage treatment plant and manage a pizza shop ive been blessed to heal quickly my whole life i was operated on 7/31 and returned to both jobs 8/11 i carry routinely 24 inch pipe wrenches and large tools and work on alot of large pumps and piping average size is about 8 inch pipe then i work the pizza shop 3 times a week where im standing for 6-7 hours a night twisting and turning and i feel really good the first few days fatigue was a factor but everything was tight and pain free

on thursday got banded on friday i came home since ive been home i feel really bloated and im sliming all the time i cant drink a half ounce of clear fluids without feeling bloated and sliming

hi just snook out of hospital im getting discharged today at 5 pm so i can go to lapband meeting tonight at jeanes 5 30 i have to get 2 more steroidal shot then im gone i talked to kowalski this morning im have the same problem as you are having now when you drink the cold stuff anytime after an adjustment you esophagus shrinks constricting flow well i have to sneak back come to the meeting tonight me and the wife will be there i wanna see how she lost by now

july 31 will be the first day of the rest of my life and to quote weight watchers you willl be seeing less of me lol. dr kowalski of jeanes hospital in philadelphia will be doing the honors would love to hear if anyone has had any work done with him wife had bypass in march by him and lost 58 lbs so far

hi jill we have the same day surgery i just got my time and its 11am i show up and 1230 is surgery est. may god be with us and may we enjoy our new lease on life in moderation remember what doesnt kill us makes us stronger lol im on the clear liquid phase now. good luck i have 20 hrs of clear liquids and nothing after midnight im gonna be so parched tomorrow we will walk forever together

www.orlive.com has a live lapband surgery on august 6th this is a great sight has 3 lapband surgeries and a gastric bypass in their library these are complete operations and are better than the youtube one.

this is probably because right after surgery your innards are swollen and you couldnt eat as much .now the swelling is down but you probably have no restriction yet so you can eat like you can

according to atkins you shouldnt have no more than 4 packets of artificial sweeteners a day i forget the the reason for it but i read it that particular part lots of times

i also am being operated on the 31st good luck

i had an abdominal ultrasound

im on slim fast getting operated on 7/31 but i had a choice between high protein or low carb. optima wasnt an option

ok group i need answers i binged on a cheesesteak and 2/4 lbs of fudge 5 days before surgery im on a all slim fast diet with clear the day before can i do all liquids from here on out and be ok im also taking saline laxatives i need advice please ty mike

omg i came here to find solutions to my dilema and im not alone i binged last night on a porkroll sandwhich a soda and some cookies i have 5 days till surgery is there a way i can recover im thinking a liver flush has anyone tried that i need answers asap ty mike
