Do not despair. I had my surgery 1/31/17 and often felt that I made a mistake. I had several complications after and that made me doubt my choice even more. The PA that I see says it is extremely common to have "buyers remorse". Almost 7 months down the road it creeps in my mind here and there but I know I have made it a long way (farther than I had EVER been able to make it on my own) and all in all I do not regret. My first 3-4 weeks included 3 soups per day (all blend but the warm "savory" cut the sweet protein that I had to intake. I often sought out other diet plans for gastric bypass because the plan through my doctor was ALL protein UNTIL I lost 70% of what my goal weight was to be. For my own sanity I started incorporating other things in earlier and that made it much easier. Hang in there and keep your mind off things. Bing watch a show and sip on hot tea and warm broth. It does get easier.
