I'm 5 days post op and honestly I feel great!! I have a little stomach soreness but that's pretty much it. The more you move around the better it gets. You will be amazed how much better you feel with each day that passes.

I'm only 5 days post op and I'm going with the gallbladder /hernia (that part is true) and the high protein low carbs. It's my business and feel like I don't have to explain myself

I had to do a 3 day liver shrinking diet. 2 protein shakes a day and a healthy meal full of protein.

I am actually feeling pretty good Thank God. No pain just a little soreness I'm my stomach when I move a certain way. I started protein drinks yesterday and was able to get down almost 2 of them. I get the rumbles in my stomach but that's normal for me before surgery. How are you??

Thank you for the suggestions and encouragement. I actually had my husband go back to the hospital to find out the broth they use because it didn't taste bad. It was Herb Ox broth so I went online and ordered a box. Today is my first day to drink protein shakes and so far I've gotten down 1 1/3 but I'm determined to finish this last one. I get rumbling in my belly whenever I drink anything but it's normal for me... I actually feel pretty good. I thank God!

I am 3 days post open as well and I have no appetite wither which is great by the way. Water, jello, and sugar free Popsicles have been my friend so far, broth not so much. I just don't like the smell or taste. No real discomfort except my stomach rumbling with gas that doesn't want to seem to come out the back side! Lol.... I woke up this morning and noticed something blood on my shirt from my large incision so I'm going in to see my Dr this afternoon. Other than that I feel better each day

I got home yesterday and I'm feeling better than I expected. I've been doing a lot of walking which has helped. I've been sipping water and eating jello here and there..... I had a little phlegm in my chest and it was so painful to cough up but I finally got it up. The only problem I'm having is the DISGUSTING store bought broth. I have to find something else ASAP... Thanks for checking on me

Hello all... Thanks for the well wishes. I've been sleeved now for only 12 hrs. I'm still in the hospital until tomorrow. I can have anything by mouth until tomorrow but the cool b part is I'm NOT even hungry. I am however in a little bit of pain but not tooooo bad. They fount a henital hernia while I was in sugary and they they repaired that as well... I'm ready to get some liquids tomorrow, my mouth is SUPER DRY. I've been up walking and I'm about to go again. @Jodma I go tomorrow as well... For me I don't think it has fully kicked in yet. My God cover you and the surgeons tomorrow.

My whole process took about a month from start (1st Dr consult) to "finish" (my surgery is tomorrow March 20th)...

My surgery is tomorrow the 20th, I have to check in @ 5am... This 3 day liver shrinking diet has been somewhat difficult. I never realized until now how much I've been eating what I want when I want and all that has already begun to change. I'm still can't believe I'll be sleeved by this time tomorrow

I'm in Texas and these were my requirements with BCBS except I ended up NOT having to do any supervised anything. Got approved in a week and my surgery is on Monday.
