About Me
Just beginning my (final?) weight loss journey. I hope to be more of a contributor than a lurker as my journey progresses and I get more solid plans for the upcoming surgery and recovery.
I have been living with PCOS for 10 years. I have seen little out there for people who are looking to manage their PCOS for personal reasons and not reproductive. While it's a big part of being a woman, I never felt the need to have a kid and it feels like it has limited my options for help.
After several years of looking for a doctor to help me and the resulting trial and error of medications to help manage this stupid syndrome, I have exhausted most of my options. My weight continues to climb and my cholesterol is out of control.
I have thoroughly researched my surgery options and I am fortunate to have insurance that will cover some of my expenses, though how much I will find out soon.
