@Nmelo723, I am just really starting the journey but worked a little backwards. Lol, I recently had lab work, sleep study, pulmonary visit, then info session. Now scheduled to meet with surgeon [emoji40] on 2/27 for the rest. My PCP was trying to rule out thyroid and kidney issues first. Always struggled with migraines and history of high blood pressure. Even tried and was successful with weight loss on my own 2 years ago but don't know what happened. Ready to take my life back!!!! Ready for this journey. Best of luck to you. We got THIS!

Nmelo723 I know it seems long to me as well. My insurance requires the 6 months of changing the eating habits for approval despite the other medical conditions and numerous medications I am currently taking. Patiently waiting.

Hello ladies, I'm new and just starting my journey as well. Went to a info session 2/14/17, scheduled an appointment that day with surgeon for 2/27/17. My PCP totally supports as well. I'm super excited. We got this!!!

I just went to a info session on 2/14/17 and it was very informative. I was able to schedule an appointment with the surgeon while there. It takes approximately 7 1/2 months to get scheduled for surgery after all the tests. You have to attend nutritional classes which are only once a month (which sucks in my opinion), then 2 week diet of their required foods pre-op. They talked about post op do's and don'ts. I was very RELUCTANT but I feel now at ease. I'm 5'4", 248. Hope this helps! [emoji3]
