When to start living and stop obsessing over the scale
sjandj715 replied to sjandj715's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I knew I was not the only one! It's ridiculous!! I think the past few days I have decided and will stick to only weighing once a week. I feel the best I have felt in over 10 years and I am eating right and working out. The only time I need to worry is if I fall off track but I don't see that happening... thanks everyone for their response!!! -

Almost 3 months post op down 60lbs!!! -
It's super frustrating!! I know though that our body need time to catch up with all the weight loss. It's just hard when you watch the scale go down down down and then stop! Lol we will get past the dang stall! Patience is what I keep saying to myself!

I'm 11 weeks post op and wondering if there is such thing as a stall around this time? Haven't lost any this week! Thanks!
-
Thanks for the reply! I will keep focused. Maybe I'll just put the scale away until next week that way I don't stress too much.

How much weight did you lose?
sjandj715 replied to Kayla Monee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I started at 214 and I'm a couple of weeks away from being 3 months post op and I've lost 58lbs -
It's been a little over two months since surgery and I couldn't be happier!!! Best thing I have ever done!!! Down 55lbs!!! I feel alive again.
-
Thank you so much! You will do awesome! I started running about 3-4 weeks after surgery. I am only running about 25 minutes 4-5 days a week. I am trying to keep it just enough but not so much that I get burned out. I am considering starting some weights and changing things up a bit. But running has been great!

Thank you so much! I am losing about three pounds a week. I have learned that if you stay away from carbs ( sounds aweful I know, but it's completely doable after surgery) eat and drink your protein and drink your water!!! Add some good workouts, the weight WILL come off! Anyone that is about to have surgery, set realistic goals and when you hit that small goal, make another small goal! I tend to get disappointed easily and so this method worked great for me. Everyone is different too so don't compare... I seriously though I was going to be that girl that wouldn't lose anymore... that week three stall freaked me out. I mean I didn't lose a lb hat whole week and then bam! Started losing again! This surgery rocks. Just stay focused ya so worth it! Good luck to everyone we are all on this journey together

45lbs is amazing!!! You are doing great! Don't let the voice in your head win. You keep pushing yourself and eating right and you will get there. Take it one day at a time... you seriously are doing great! -

Nervous Newbe - What's it like? Tell me everything!
sjandj715 replied to RedOrangeSunrise's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's been absolutely amazing for me! I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I have had no issues at all. I'm never hungry. I had surgery on may 2nd and I am down 46lbs. The weight loss has slowed big time but I'm still dropping every week. I get full really fast, And when I say full I mean I'm not longer hungry at all. It was worth it to me 110%. All my health issues are gone, I feel alive again. I was scared beyond belief before surgery and then I just said to myself, it's going to be great and I'm going to be just fine. I wish I could tell everyone how great this surgery really is! Good luck to you!!! -
