I just want to say that i had my lap band surgery march 26th 2008 and so far have lost 70 pds!! For the past month i have been going to curves and that has got to be the best decision i have ever made! The success to weight lose is not to diet because we all know diets dont work! I'ts all about change,, changing our bad habits and getting out of our comfort zones! So that is why i joined Curves! So if anyone hasnt tried it cause their not sure about it ,, im saying its wonderful and im not the type of person that likes to be out where their is alot of people but at curves i feel at home!! Curves has a saying 'NO MIRRORS NO MEN'!! And i like that i dont have to worry about men coming in their and making me feel uncomfortable! So i wanted to share a little something with you ,, cause i know in order to help myself and work with the band i must exercise,, we all have to. So good luck to you all..:eek:

Well it sure has been a while since i have been online. Just to update everything , i have been doing pretty good had my 4th fill August 13th only a .3 cc cause i still had restriction. So i have lost around 70 pounds since surgery i have 100 or so to go. Im happy to finally be under 300 pounds it has been 6 years! Now i feel i can really go all the way with this new life style of eating and exercing. I need to exercise more then i do , its a work in progress.

Well hi im Sherry i was banded march 26th 2008 and weight lose for me is slow and steady. I average about 10 pds or so a month, it would be nice to have a buddy so we can help each other and follow each others progress. Im from Iowa and close to 40 as well i havent been coming on here too much lately, but if you want to consider me as a friend let me know i will be their for you! my surgery was march 26th 2008 and my first fill was may 9th and i got 4cc's and i loved the feeling of feeling full , i would eat 4oz of applesauce and had a hard time finishing that but after some time i was able to eat more and i was discouraged so i called the doctor and they say when u can eat and still feel hungry time for another fill so had my 2nd fill wed the 4th and i got 2.8 cc's , so you need to keep sipping water no matter what and popsicles for a few days im hoping i wont need a fill for a while but time will tell so anyways i have lost 33 pds , my goal is to lose 150 so , good luck to you!! i had my surgery march 26th 2008 and had my first fill on may 9th i have a 14cc band and i got a 4cc fill , it was tight but , i was losing weight also so i dealt with the problems and in 11 days i lost 13 pds well now im able to eat whatever i go for my second fill wed the 4th cant wait either i need restriction i know we all do , cause i know myself if nothing is stopping me im gonna eat, anyways total weight loss so far is like 36 pds i believe i will know tomorrow for sure wheni go for my fill and of course b4 the fill i have to get weighed! i was banded march 26th 2008 and lost 24 pds so far just got my first fill friday the 9th so happy cause its been a few weeks since i lost anything so anyways i got my fill of 4cc's i have a 14cc band so far so good im doing liquids for a few days then gradually work up to what i can tolerate so i hope it goes well,, and good luck to you all :drool:363/339165

WELL TODAY I GOT MY FIRST FILL AND I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO IT! SINCE MARCH 8 I HAVE LOST 24 PDS , SO IM GLAD I HAVENT GAINED BUT HAVENT LOST SINCE LIKE A WEEK AFTER SURGERY! SO ANYWAYS I GOT MY FILL A TOTAL OF 4CC'S I THINK THATS ALOT FOR THE FIRST ONE BUT IAM GLAD MY DOCTOR DID IT LIKE THAT! DR.GLASCOCK IS WONDERFUL , SO ANYWAY HE TOLD ME TO DO LIQUIDS FOR A FEW DAYS THEN WHEN I DO EAT TO MAKE SURE I CHEW CHEW CHEW , AND I WAS WORRIED CAUSE I DIDNT LOSE ANY MORE WEIGHT AND HE SAID WELL YOU WILL NOW, SO IM HAPPY! JUST WANTED TO SHARE MY FIRST FILL EXPERIENCE AND I HOPE I DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS!! :biggrin2:

i was banded on the 26th of march and lost 29 pds so far , and i know i need a fill i cant wait for that may 9th cause i can pretty much eat whatever i dont feel any restriction , but i do have to chew my food alot , i have a ways to go to get to my goal but we can do it!! GOOD LUCK

I havent had a period in like 2 years and before that i would say 2 years b4 they were irregular, when i hit the 300 mark i hadnt seen a period and at first im like how nice but then i miss having them but a few days after my surgery i had like a 3 daY period i was so happy!!
