Gallbladder issue?
swat9254 replied to Belladonnis's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hmm if it's not triggered by fatty foods it might not be gallbladder. Hopefully he figures it out for you soon before your trip! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
If you don't like artificial sweeteners try adding a splash of juice - even just a squeeze of lemon. I also found adding ice really helped. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Just walking, lots of walking! Your doctor will tell you when you're allowed to do more. I was allowed about three weeks out. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

At only three months out I'm very very happy with my results. My only twinge of regret is that I didn't try the pre-surgery liquid diet as a standalone weight loss option before I committed to the surgery. Ultimately I don't think it would have been sustainable - but I would have liked to know I'd exhausted every other option first. Definitely no regrets though Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Good luck! First two days are miserable but after that it's all great. Firm pillow or folded towel to brace yourself for when you laugh/cough/hiccup/drive home over road bumps is my advice. Helps a lot!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Good for you! I'm also about three months out. I know the weight loss has to stop sometime but how good is it to see results!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Gallbladder issue?
swat9254 replied to Belladonnis's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Gallbladder pain is the worst!! Get it checked out, but if you're careful to avoid fatty foods you should be able to get through your work trip before you investigate surgery. My mother managed her pain entirely through diet (I wasn't quite so disciplined). Also if it changes from dull pain to severe pain or you notice a fever go to the hospital! You will need pain meds and there's a risk of infection. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
