meridianlosing replied to meridianlosing's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I'm eating small portions and drinking Protein shakes but hardly anything stays down. did it hurt to have the tube put down your nose? -
you have NO IDEA how much i wanted to go through my phone and put this bitch in a choke hold!!!!

hey ya'll. so i went to see my regular doctor today and she put in a request for me to see a new surgeon and i'll be going next month but, in the mean time, she is thinking about tubing me. i haven't been able to hardly keep foods down. so has anyone here ever been tubed? she also requested an at home IV for a week which i am used too because i had it before when i lived in omaha.

One year out, not losing enough weight?
meridianlosing replied to meridianlosing's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I'm actually having trouble getting in all my protein for the day. I drink Protein shakes but they don't stay down. I try eating protein packed meals but those hardly stay down. My target for protein is 75g per day but, honestly, nothing is really staying down. I am following the 30-30 rule. Also my surgery was in 2015. -

And that's what they don't get. I wish i could educate them all.

One year out, not losing enough weight?

i had roux en y/gastric bypass I was always working out. First it was just walking but now I go to the gym. I used to eat 1,200 calories but I cut back. I get in at least 35 to 78 carbs a day. I keep track on this app. -
UGH i hate some of the people on instagram with their sayings of "all natural weight loss. no cheating like surgery" yeah, okay boo, surgery is cheating. also hate when people try to sell me their diet plans, and detox teas. i just want to be a part of a positive weight loss surgery community on instagram.

I use it in my hazel nut coffee all the time. It's really good!

One year out, not losing enough weight?
meridianlosing posted a topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
so i had my surgery in omaha NE in sept 2015 and i moved to FL just a month after surgery due to family issues. my new surgeon says i should have lost more than 63 pounds by now. he even said, and i quote, "you're doing poorly". he also said that for me to be so young, i really should have lost over 100 by now. I workout every day, i eat no more than a 1,000 calories, i get all my Water and Protein and i'm losing about a pound a day (well sometimes i only lose half a pound) so i don't understand why i'm not losing as much weight as i should be. my new surgeon suggested i get lap band but medicaid won't pay for that. the only reason i got my surgery in omaha was because i was still on my mom's insurance so medicaid went a head and paid for it. but, now that i'm down here, the health care for medicaid is very poor. i can only see my surgeon 3 times a year. i don't know what to do at this point.
