Hello all!  
After a long, two-year road to approval, I'm currently post-op gastric bypass! I decided to have the procedure upon the recommendation of my surgeon, who also completed my gallbladder removal a couple of years ago. He made it clear the reason why I had gallstones was because I'm overweight. A few months before that, my father died of a heart attack. Because of his passing and with diabetes being prevalent on both sides of my family, I decided to take control of my health before it takes control of me. Despite my weight, I've always been relatively healthy. However, I knew if I didn't make changes, my gallbladder attacks were merely a preview of worse things to come.
So here I am, seeking support among others on the same journey. It's been an interesting journey so far and I can't wait to see what the future brings!
