Getting cold feet all of a sudden
pathtosuccess replied to deflationinprogress's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
This is totally normal. And it's very likely that the first 3 weeks or so, you will regret doing it. I am 6 weeks out and it was so hard at first and I regretted it. Everyone said it gets better. And guess what, it does. However, if you feel that you are not emotionally or psychologically ready, then just put it on hold. It's ok. You don't have to do it right now. Maybe you need more time. Either way I am sure you will make a great decision that you will be happy about! Good luck! -
Hey, Don't be down. It gets better. I don't regret it any more. The first month is very hard. Once you get over the hump you will feel great. I am very happy now. You will too. I promise! Sending you hugs bc i know it's hard but you WILL overcome this!

Thank you so much for your kind words. It is getting easier. Seeing some weight come off has motivated me too. Congrats on your weight loss!

Yes i did and it was the one thing that held me back a few months. They take it very seriously. The phsyc believed I was too depressed so I had to see a psychiatrist and attend therapy sessions until my depression was decreased by 50%.

Hi! I'm from Lexington and also have Anthem Medicaid. The approval process was very smooth. I am 5'1, and sw was 207. I have been pleased with the people over at the St. Joe East Weight Loss Center... Dr. Steiner is fantastic! Message me if you want more info! Good luck!

Walter... i am not offended at all. I agree with you. It's a complete mental thing, almost like an obsession. Today I got on the scale 1 week post open and saw my 10 lb loss and felt so good. I could tell my loss in the mirror. It set me to a different mental place this morning. I think this will help me. It's going to be hard. We are all overweight because we don't have control. But with time and persistence taking it one day at a time and embracing each positive step, I believe in myself and I know that I can do this. I will fight this mental food addiction and will be healthy and feel great. And I believe you will too. I think it is a struggle for a lot of people at first. There's a reason why we got to the place where we were. But I also believe that with determination and faith, we will succeed. -

You are SO right. So so so right. This is all mental. It feels like warfare inside my brain. I'm battling it out and I don't want to give up. I know better. Thank you so much. Youre message is getting me through this evening. Taking it one step at a time. -
