  1. I was only in the hospital 1 night. My psych eval was no questionaire and about 10 minutes long. Super easy.
  2. I'm 3 weeks post op today and dinner tonight will be my first soft food. I'm so excited for my scrambled egg!!

    Stomach Noises

I'm 3 weeks post op today and I can't imagine eating what you had (not saying its bad, just saying with my recovery that never could have worked for me)

    Vitamins 🤢

Ive had really good luck with Centrum chewables (orange flavored). I didn't like some of the others my surgeon suggested and these were also on the approved list. I take 2 per day.

    Exercise

I'm on a 20 lb weight restriction until 8 weeks. I'm 3 weeks post op today. These late couple of days I'm finally starting to feel normal and walking more. I wanted to start longer walks earlier but had a complication with a nerve ending caught in my internal stitches that caused a great deal of pain.
  6. I love my Yeti- definitely worth the money. Keeps ice from 7am when I leave for work until well after 7pm. I'm definitely interested in that Jaxx bag- I've heard good things about it from others as well.
  7. I used that same website, it was literally 10 minutes long and so easy and cost me just a $30 copay.

    Post opt newbie

That does not seem like nearly enough fluid. By 4 days post op I was 48-64 oz per day.
  9. Sleeved 4/12 down 23 lbs counting pre op. I feel like I'm losing slower than most at 13 lbs in nearly 3 weeks. Getting all my fluid and protein in too.
  10. I'm in the exact same situation as you, 18 days post op. You are not alone.
  11. It's not surgery, it's just a diagnostic test. Zero pain, very quick and easy.

    Favorite Pureed Foods

I was repulsed too haha. But now that I'm surviving in it, it's not bad. The best I have had is puréed chicken mixed with mashed potatoes and melted cheddar cheese. Very good.

    Early stall? Is this common?

Ugh I get it. I had surgery 4/12, so tomorrow makes 2 weeks. I'm down only 8 pounds and the scale isn't budging. To say I am frustrated is an understatement.

    Pain getting worse

That's for letting me know, makes me feel better that we were told the same thing. I'm going to try my heating pad tonight.
  15. My surgeon provided one and it was a massive help.

    Pain getting worse

I wasn't replying to you, I was simply telling OP that someone understood and was in same situation and that hopefully they would find some peace in knowing what my surgeons had told me. Obviously that doesn't negate them asking their own team. But you telling them them that was definitely not normal was misinformation.

    Pain getting worse

I did call. Both of my surgeons say very normal but doesn't happen to everyone. What is normal for one doesn't mean it's normal for another.

    Pain getting worse

I am going through this exactly! It's a deep stinging pain under the indentation that literally takes my breathe away. From what I have read, it's normal - nerves repairing from being torn with the muscle and such. It's just awful. I was doing well until post op day 7 (I'm day 11 now) and have definitely felt like I went backwards in my recovery.

    April sleevers!?

I wish I was like all these posters who were feeling great a few days out of surgery. Today is post op day 11 for me and I feel horrible. The stinging pain in my indentation is enough to take my breath away.
  20. I had surgery 4/12, im 10 days post op. I was scared too- the morning of surgery I started sobbing when my surgeon came in to talk with me. The first 2 days sucked and were a blur. I'm still in pain but doing better. I had no problem with fluids and have now moved onto purees with no problem so post op eating/drinking has been a breeze for me.
  21. Fitbit Aria for sure!! I absolutely love mine.

    Day one post op

I'm jealous of those sleeved later and feeling great. My surgery was 4/12 and I still feel like crap.

    Waiting

I have BCBSIL PPO and it took a month. They approved it verbally within 3 days but couldn't fax my surgeon approval letter until their medical board released it which was an additional 3 weeks. Ridiculous.
  24. I had surgery last Wednesday and am going back to work this upcoming Monday. Little over 1 week off.

    Day one post op

I hate the lovenox shots. They sting like crazy and I'm running out of places to put them. One week down, one to go.
