    Terrified of losing my hair

EssKayy I completely understand. I am 105 days out and completely obsessing over my hair. To date I'm not having any loss but I am so afraid. It is all I think about. I take 10,000 mg of biotin daily. I'm just hoping for the best. My sisters laugh because I'm doing all sorts of things. This past week I put a avocado, honey, and oatmeal mask on my hair. I saw that on YouTube. I'm literally praying to not lose my hair. I tell everyone that my hair is the best thing on my body. I don't know what I would do if I lose it. WATER INTAKE

I too am a water drinker. You just have to take it slowly. I try to sip constantly. This was the most difficult part for me. The eating I got used to. It's the not gulping that was a challenge. I try to keep a bottle with me at all times. HW 330 SW 292 CW 230.8 GW below 200

    Sharing with coworkers??

I'm a very private person. I told one or two people including my husband. My mom told my susters and father. She assumed my sisters knew. I'm not ashamed of the surgery, I just don't want to hear what others have to say. Mainly I don't want to have to hurt someone'sfeelings. I have 4 assistants that I work closely with. I didn't tell them because it wasn't their business. Again, I don'twant anyone's opinion. I just told them I'm trying to live a healthier life. HW 330 SW 292 CW 230.8 GW
  7. I had RNY on March 8, 2017. This was the best day of my life. The photos are of me at my highest weight of 330 and my current weight of 231. Every day has been a struggle but I'm doing it. I have my eye on the prize. Onederland here I come. I haven't been there since the 90's. HW 330 SW 292 CW 231 GW- under 200 lbs. I'll let you know when I get there. 9. Wow!!! Our stats are similar. I don't mind sharing at all. I would love to be your buddy. Send me a message if you have any questions. As I said in my post it is a struggle. I still struggle with cravings. I just don't give in. I think about why I had the surgery and I get through it. When the cravings a arise I try meditation or reading. I just think that I have to be successful at this. Prior to surgery I was taking 2 shots and 4 pills a day for diabetes. Also 2 pills to control my blood pressure. I don't want to go back there. That is motivation enough. I also attend a support group. I'm also having trouble getting in all of my nutrients. I try to log everything I eat. I focus on protein and make sure I take all of my vitamins. I hope I answered your questions. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Sent from my Z981 using BariatricPal mobile app

    VSG & autoimmune diseases?

Hello all. I have an autoimmune disease called autoimmune hepatitis. I also have vitiligo. My overactive immune system attacks my liver. I take 100 mg of mercaptopurine daily. Prednisone if there is a flare up. Thank God that hasn't happened for a while. My doctor was excited when I told him I was considering the surgery. He actually did my medically supervised weight loss. I had to stay off my meds for 1 month before and after surgery. I had RNY 3/8. Things worked out fine for me. 5'8" HW 330 SW 306 SD 292.8 CW 233.4 GW around 180 Sent from my Z981 using BariatricPal mobile app

  15. I traveled 6 days post-op. It was a total 12 hour drive. It took us 2 days. I was very unhappy. The drain was annoying. It's a good thing I had a beautiful beach view from the hotel. I just lay there looking at the the water. I came out once or twice. It also took us 2 days to get home. I asked my hubby to drop me off at the ER when we got back to town. Ended up staying 2 days. Travel after surgery?

I don't think it's a good idea. Trust me I know from experience. I traveled right after my surgery. It was spring break and I didn't want to ruin my husband an daughter's vacation. It was a 10 hour drive. It took us two days. On the way home. I asked my husband to drop me off at the ER. I ended up staying 2 days. Sent from my Z981 using BariatricPal mobile app

  24. I'm 9 weeks out. I initially had regrets. Especially when I had to be readmitted 10 days after surgery. Now I'm down a total of about 50 pounds since surgery. I wouldn't go back if I could. I have gone from taking 2 shots per day and 4 pills a day to control my diabetes. It is completely under control. My PCP says he will take me off one of the two blood pressure meds I take around 60 pounds. This has been the best decision of my life. Just hold on. Sent from my Z981 using BariatricPal mobile app
