Update. Im 5.5 months post op and got new labs this week.... my insulin level are down to normal, my testosterone levels are down to normal and I am ovulating on my town. Although we have to wait a few more months to try, my endocrinologist feels that we have a pretty good chance.of being successful. This has been an emotional journey. Im 2 days out and still in the hospital. All and all the experience has not been a bad experience. Im still in the hospital tryong to get.the pain managed. I had a shower for the firdt time since surgery today, it felt like heaven. Im expecting great things to come.

Its tough, but you can do it. You made it this far.

They did blood work on me 2 of the 3 days I was in the hospital.

That is hard. I was fortunate that my mother in lae lives with me and does most of the cooking. I stayed out of the kitchen as much as possible, but my husband eat junk food in front of me all the time. Thats a steuggle, but the fear of dumping keeps me on track.

Im off metformin as well and doing great without it. I struggled on the liquid diet. I had to drink 5 shakes a day, but some days i still felt hungry. I did cheat a couple times and ate a slice of cheese and a piece of grilled chicked once. I told my surgeon about it before surgery and ge said I was still ok for surgery. I guess I had some good cheats :-)

Ive also lost another 14 lbs in the last 2 weeks. I think if we follow the plan, our weight-loss will be equal to the norm

I am 13 days post op and I am already noticing a decrease in my huritism. My skins is clearer. I believe my insulin resistance is under control.

I tried the pillow like Sam827 memtioned. It worked greatly. Im able to move aroind and do things now.

Im 6 days post op and still have a lot of pain on the left side. I hurt when I stand, when I sit, turn or move in a number of ways. Ive been trying to decrease the use of the pain meds but Ive only been able to go 7-8 hours between doses. Is that normal?

Im looking forward to my symptoms disappearing especially the huritism

I believe it is. Ok. I was beginning to worry a little. I keep reading about people doing normal things in the first week. :-)

I've been having a similar experience ony left side. It hurts when I move. Im 6 days post op and still have to take pain meds. ;-(

Are tou taking vitamins? I had that issue a few years ago. I cut it short, took vitamins and statyednusing natiral and home made products on my hair.. such as conditioner made.from cocunut oil and avocado

Im only 5 days post op, but i lost 18 pounds the 2 weeks before the surgery. I haven't weighed myself since the surgery.

I have PCOS. I did the surgery to help with the weight loss and many symptoms. I have an associate with PCOS who did the surgery over a year ago..she is.doing great and her symptoms are a lot better,

First day home. I must say I was a little naive about what i would face at home. For starters, Im 6' tall and all of our furniture isnstandard.... (short) . In the hospital i could lift or lower the bed, so i had minimal pain. After bieng home for 1 night, I discovered that i need the pain meds more rhan i did in the hospital. It has been harder for me to move at home. Getting on and off the couch is torture. Hoing to the rest room is a major accomplishment ineeded help getting in and out of bed. On a positive note, I have been able to get almost 2 shakes in yesterday and 1 and a half bottles.of Water. I just wasn't prepared for the pain of moving aroind at.home.
