Started at a size 24 and xxl shirt. Now I’m in a size 6 and a medium shirt. Down to 170 pounds and only 20 away from my goal weight.

So far my skin isn’t too bad. A little loose in my lower tummy, inner thighs, and my underarm area. If I worked out more it would be better but I’m lazy and don’t make it to the gym as often as i would like.

I feel pretty good most of the time. I have noticed people seem to be more respectful towards me which makes me a little sad thinking back to how it used to be. I still have a hard time taking compliments. I also have to constantly remind myself that I’m not 306 pounds anymore. That I can fit between cars without turning or having to go around. Then there’s times when I feel on top of the world. I walk around like I own the damn place ya know?

I have plateaued so hard this last month. I’ve only lost 2 pounds! I know I need to change up what I am doing a bit but I have no motivation. I am an infant toddler teacher and by the end of the day I am completely exhausted. Someone help!

Favorite foods would be fresh fruit and veggies. They go down really easily and they don't sit heavily on my pouch. Low fat turkey chilli Is another favorite of mine. Add a little shredded cheese and bam super yummy and full of protein. Never again will I eat pudding or soup unless I absolutely have to. Tips? Do not get discouraged. After I had my surgery I had instant buyers remorse. I missed food. I actually had a full blown crying break down in a rite aide because they didn't make sugar free ice cream... now though I cannot imagine my life and diet any differently. Yes I miss cheeseburgers and pizza, but I do not miss being 306 pounds. Ice chips will be your bff for a while. It helped satisfy my desire to chew and have some crunch in my mouth and helped me stay hydrated. Walk, walk, walk. Always walk. It helps you digest, helps relieve gas pain, and you'll lose so much faster.

Feeling so good!!!!

Honestly I pretty much eat whatever. I try to stick to healthy stuff but no ones perfect. I need to get back in the gym more often. I'm just so tired after work it's hard to want to go. It also doesn't help that I work with a lot of really friendly Indian ladies that always have super yummy food to share.

Just Starting My Kaiser WLS Journey

I had my RNY done at Fremont kaiser! Dr Dutta is amazing. Super laid back and easy to talk to. The longest part of the process for me was waiting for the classes. I'd say it took about 4 months. -

Had my surgery on the 30th. Horrible pain at first but now I'm totally fine. If I don't chew something soon though I'm gonna lose it. -
Holy crap! I only have 25 more days until my surgery. I am super excited but also really nervous and stressed out. I'm really struggling with eating right all the time right now as I am a stress eater. Someone tell me I'm overthinking please?!?!

Only 25 more days!!!!
emmybaby666 replied to emmybaby666's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I only have a week left before my surgery now and my insurance is being a total pain in the ass. I've been doing better with the eating and whatnot but the stress is intense. As for a stress reliever that isn't food, I have an emotional support dog. He is seriously the best thing in my life. Maybe you need some puppy love to help with your stress? -
