    Need support!

I am grateful for your honesty, and wish you happier times ahead!
  4. Talk about stirring the pot! That really does sound judgemental. If you are here because you are going to have or have had weight loss surgery then you really ought to know that weight loss isn't just about willpower or even about calories in/calories out. As you must know, people undergoing wls have tried typical diets and even medical ones. I'm really surprised that you would be so recklessly and thoughtlessly "curious".
  5. I ADORE thrift store shopping. And Wish.com.
  6. Thank you! Leggings are a great idea! I wish cheap bras were possible for me!
  7. Ha ha! Congested! Yes! I hear they'll deflate and I can't wait!
  8. How are you dealing with falling dress/pant sizes? I'm most especially concerned about bra sizing. Especially in early days, any suggestions? Also, compared with previous weight loss attempts, did you lose more, less or the same amount of breast tissue. I have really big boobs and I'm secretly hoping they go away!
  9. Anyone else March 20 in Harbor City?

Update! All is well. My situation is unique to me and I've gotten some advice re: my pre-op diet. I need to kick up the working out a notch and increase my calories a touch.

Hi Tammy! I took 1 all day orientation and nutrition class and then switched to Kaiser. I have not done a 12 week class. I met with my Kaiser surgeon last week for the first time (I was referred by my new Kaiser PCP). I brought my paperwork from the previous surgeon's office and the new surgeon, Dr. Zane, put me on the schedule for March 20. I'm relieved to know I'm following approximately what I should be and I'm hopeful I'll lose enough to satisfy the surgeon. I'm a little unclear as to why I'm skipping so many steps but I do know my blood pressure is extremely high so I figured that was the reason for the hurry. I'm going to call the office Monday and get some clarification.
  12. Yeah, it seems a little odd to me but my blood pressure has been extremely high so I figured it was hurried up for that reason. I'm going to call tomorrow and follow up. To be clear, he didn't say I have to lose 30 pounds. He said I should be shooting for 10% loss, or in my case 30 pounds. I don't know if he expects me to get that far, but I'm going to try!
