Pregnant and 11 months post Bariatric Sleeve Patient
crivera posted a topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Hi everyone. So I recently found out I am 5 1/2 WEEKS pregnant. I am 11 months Post OP from a Bariatric Sleeve. I understand you are to wait to conceive well after a year and a half to two years however life happens lol. I am looking to start Pre Natal pills and really want to chose the best option as you know as a Bariatric patient you already lack those necessities in vitamins and nutrients. I just really want a healthy baby! Thank you all!! -

How easily can your stomach stretch??
crivera replied to crivera's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thank you! But I was told it stretches. So worried lol. -
Hi everyone. I was sleeved on 1/31/17. I am not entering solid proteins. However super nervous to stretch my stomach. I can't keep much down anyway with bad heartburn and feeling sick. I know the stomach is a muscle so it's made to stretch but how easily can one stretch their stomach after a sleeve gastrectomy. Super nervous. I always want a small skinny stomach lol. TERRIFIED to stretch my stomach LOL. I'm hoping it takes a lot to really stretch from the size made after the sleeve. Please advice !!! Thank you everyone!

Stage 2 -One solid meal replacement. (Question)

Hi everyone! I was sleeved a little over two weeks ago (1/31/17). I am now stating the next stage where you have two shakes a day and one solid (proteins). I referring to the packet and list of all acceptable foods. chicken, eggs, chili... etc. however I'm just a little concerned. To be only two weeks post op and eating such foods. I'm worried to stretch my stomach however my surgeon approves of this list provided. Just seems crazy to be eating eggs and chicken and whatever else is on the sheet so soon. I spoke to the nutritionist and it's allowed. Anyone else thing the same or have any comments ???? Thanks so much !!! -

Hi everyone. I was sleeved on 1/31/17. Today is my two week post op. I have lost a total of 12 pounds in 14 days. Feeling super super discourage. Some people have lost that in a week. I know I should NOT compare myself to another as everyone and their bodies are different however just feeling a little discourage and down. Not sure if this plays a major factor but I was not passing bowel nor drinking my required protein requirement nor liquid. My nutritionist says the protein intake and liquids is what makes the weight loss. So not sure if me not losing mor had anything to do with that. Please advice anyone. Thanks so much and Happy Valentine's day to all!!!

So I am 11 Post of. I was sleeved on 1/31/17. I have had the normal pain by the large incision are where the stomach was cut and removed. However I am sick and have been cough (which hurts) and earlier today had like a coughing attack. And ever since thay I have been in pain in that area more than usual and definitely more then ever experience thus far. I'm super worried that I may have harmed myself. Hernia, pulled something , torn a stitch. I am HOPING my cough just like strained something and that's why I'm in such pain. Please help. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
