80% Dixie, but I am another Texas girl here.

I actually bought a box of these at Walmart today. I think they taste okay but I was only able to eat about a fourth of one before I starting feeling like I was about to get stuck with it. I cant handle the texture of most of the bars.

OMG....I cant wait to get to goal, or even close to it. I am so inspired. I cant wait for new pics! You are going to be even happier when the swelling goes down and you feel better! You look like you had an excellent surgeon!! The TT looks awesome but I am amazed by the results of the lift. Honestly they werent that bad before, but they look so UP and perky now. That is just from a lift? You have restored my spirits! I had to go look at them side by side and I swear I can see a difference in your thighs. I really can. They look lifted. Is that a bonus from the tummy tuck or is that from the lipo?

Pain in Band Area: Yup It's me Again...
lianna replied to NeenBand's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I want to add to Kathy's great advice... it may help to avoid RIGHT OFF THE BAT foods that cause problems for many bandsters. The worst culprit being bread. I had my first PB from bread and have not been able to eat it comfortably since. I am sorry you are having pain during your healing time. Are you doing better with warm liquids or does it make any difference? Warm still goes down easier for me, lol. I have learned to love room temp Water. -
I have PCOS (and insulin resistance) and take Metformin. I am not a rabbit by any means, but I am losing fairly steadily. I was afraid I was going to be a turtle but the loss has been very consistent. I am almost 5 months out and almost 30 pounds down so I am averaging a pound and a half a week. So I guess I am in between turtle and rabbit.

I personally view this as being as difficult for an experienced doc as a tonsilectomey.......if you know what your doing it isnt that big of a surgery. If you trust him, go for it.
-
It should be her own business......and who REALLY cares that much? Okay, I just realized I am bumping this thread.......Is there a "bumping irrelevant thread hell"? I am doomed!
-
Flatbellykelly!!!! I wish you a speedy recovery. Wait and wow us when the swelling is gone by giving us PICS!!! You rock!

C 200.5 (-28.5 total, -.5 this week) I seem like I am stuck these past 2 weeks. I am having people I barely know notice the loss but my scales are barely budging. I finally added some exercise hoping to shake things up, and scales hardly moved this week........a little frustrated here.

I am not Pati-o but I can answer that... reflux can cause irritation, inflamation, and ulcers/erosion in the esophogus. The Nexium should take care of the reflux and allow the esophagus to heal.

Are the Journals not working?
lianna replied to PhotoNut's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
I cant get my journal today either........ -
I am very sorry to hear that your daughter is so ill right now. I will say a big prayer for her, and be sending postive thoughts for you and your family. Maybe all the good wishes and support will turn the tide for her today.

No, I cant get to mine either.

Happy Bandiversary!

Being banded 3/30/06 Erosion & slipping
lianna replied to mwillis's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It always puts my mind at ease to remember that erosion has a 1-3% chance. If I recall correctly from the researching days, RNY has a 1-3% MORTALITY rate. There is obviosly no comparison. -
I joined the other that are doing a happy dance for you!!!! Glad there is no erosion and hope the unfill does the trick.

I somewhat agree, but I just skip or stop reading the posts that seem repetitious.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I was told the "special pool chemical" story and was terrified to pee in a pool when I was a kid. My friend brought her kids over to swim several years ago and I told them the same story.... that we use a special chemical in our pool and if they peed in the water a purple cloud would form around them and everyone would KNOW! The next weekend my girlfriend came over to lounge in the pool with me, and before she got in the water she asked me "I am on my period, that wont make the chemical stuff yall use make a purple cloud around me will it?". I laughed my ass off. And by the way she is BLONDE! (but so am I, so no real offense meant to blondes, lol)
