The best fat burner around is good old fashioned exercise! It is caffeine free too! Seriously though, I dont know about taking a fat burner pill....I pretty much got banded because I had taken so much of that crap and done so many diets, they obviously were NO miracle for me. I hear that the EGCG in green tea helps metabolise fat and it stimulant free. Maybe some green tea capsules or drinking a couple of cups a day would give you the boost you are looking for.

C 194 (-35 total, -2 this week) I am really happy that I lost this week, but I avoided all sweets!!! I am hanging strong with losing an average of 6 lbs a month. I would love to do the new challenge! Will that be a separate thread than the Gone For Good Club? I need the motivation to start exercising and see if I can step up the loss a little bit. Count me in!!!

I agree. Kellie, Elliot, and Ace were the worst tonite. I actually thought Katherine was the standout, I just think her expressions look like she has studied herself in the mirror for toooo long. Very posed, no sponaniety or genuineness shining through....(those are quite the words i am looking for??)

They could delete the "End of 2005 weight loss challenge" sticky since it is April.....and no one has posted on it since January, lol.

I noticed that the Scar Stages Picture thread had disappeared...?

Good grief, you are melting, lol!!! Share some secrets to your awesome success! What is a typical days menu? How much are you working out? You are setting records there without ANY fill!!!! Congrats on being so close to goal!!!

You look fantastic! That seals the deal for me, I am saving up from this moment forward. I want a TT and lift too!!!! You are going to have so much fun shopping for new lingerie and swimwear!!! I see many lacy skimpy bras in your future!

So - what's your status?
lianna replied to sleepyjean's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Happily married and will celebrate our 14th anniversary on August 15 this year! He is still the person that I have the absolute MOST fun with!!! Whatever that "magical thing" thing is, we have it! -
It sounds disgusting but I did the cottage cheese heated with some spagetti sauce on top, tastes sort of like lasagna. I also like to sprinkle with sugar free strawberry jello powder, a little sugar free cool whip, and stir it up...it makes a sweet, pink, fluffy, strawberry cottage cheese dessert.

BMI 32 lookng for inexpensive surgeon
lianna replied to Ife_nj_32's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Missy4gordon,,,dont get offended by Aracely, she is basically posting a commercial, lol! I went to Monterrey and had surgery with Dr. Sanchez for $7,999. I would recommend him, his staff, and the hospital with no second thoughts. The entire surgery was above any reproach. Just be sure that you can arrange aftercare before going the Mexico route. -
It really sounds like you need a teeny tiny unfill. PBing milk is a red flag of some kind!! I was in the same place back in February.....swallowed water fine after fill, and it was a flouro fill to boot!! By the very next day I was having trouble getting even liquids to stay down at times, and PBing on just about every other attempt at food. I have been "tight" where the hot tea and tiny slow bites worked, but this was a PBing TOO OFTEN type of tight. It only took a .2cc unfill to get me back to eating regular bandster meals without the horrid sliming, PBs, and frustration. I am truly at my sweet spot since that little unfill. I can safely and confidently eat small amounts of just about anything but bread. If the Warm liquids pre-meal and timing dont make enough difference for you, dont try to wait it out any longer. I really think being too tight is very bad for the tummy and band.

Happy Easter, how did you do with food and candy???
lianna replied to MiaHalliwell's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I did okay. I dont have much of a sweet tooth so I actually didnt have any candy or desert all day. Had a protein drink for breakfast. Our Easter meal was a deep South Texas version... so I had 2 slices of BBQ brisket, some pinto beans with a spoonful of Mexican rice, and some guacamole with 3 tortilla chips. Sunday evening my DH took me to South Padre Island for dinner and I had 3 HUGE oysters on the half shell with 3 crackers. (and 2 margaritas)!! I did pretty good when I think about all the things I DIDNT put on my plate, lol!! -
How the band changed my life! (pictures)
lianna replied to Dianechef's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You certainly dont have to worry about the double chin thing anymore! Your entire face looks thin! You look wonderful, and good looking family too!!! -
I use my surgery date weight.....but it is also my all time highest weight, so that made it pretty easy for me.

You look GREAT!!! Time to update the avitar! Congrats!

I had Dr. Sanchez!!! I heard nothing but good about either one, just chose Sanchez because I talked to 2 of his patients. When I was researching I kept seeing Dr. Rumbaut and Dr. Sanchez as top Mexico surgeons. Sanchez is a pioneer in the field though, I think he even trained Dr. Rumbaut. If you go to Monterrey they have top notch facilities, nicer than most of our hospitals. The Santa Engracia, where Sanchez operates IS American owned and the CEO is banded by Sanchez. The website for Dr. Sanchez is readyforachange.com. You can call me if you want more info.....PM and I will give you my number.

Band Veterans: 1 Cup of Food Too Much?
lianna replied to NeenBand's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am so glad that you are doing so much better Leener!!!! I am only 5 1/2 months out, not sure what is considered a veteran, but I was eating about 1 cup at a time at one month. It was enough, not starving or stuffed. It seems to be very much in the normal range from what I know. -
I occasionally eat a small ear of corn on the cob...maybe every other week or less. (We go to a lot of weekend barbeques and its usually a better choice than potato salad or macaroni salad.) I have had absolutely no problems with eating corn. I agree with Vines, there should really be NOTHING that you make off limits, just use some discretion on portions and how often you indulge.

I dont have a big foot, but mine are wide. I like some of the shoes Silhouettes carries and most come in wide and extra wide. I cant think of anywhere else offhand.
-
C 196 (-33 total, -2.5 this week) I have noticed a definite trend for myself....scale doesnt move the week of my period, but then I lose a little more than normal the following week. As long as the downward trend continues I am happy! Congratulations in advance to all losers and maintainers!!!! Anyone on a stall, it is sure to break soon!!! Have a great Easter Weekend! (mine starts today, my school has early release!)

Give me your best "how I did it" lines!
lianna replied to Alexandra's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I agree it is best to keep a reply as simple as possible. I usually just say "I have been trying to eat a little less and exercise a little more!". I feel like when someone says 'wow you're looking great, what are you doing?' it is said in the same spirit as "hi, how are you today?'....it's just a nice friendly acknowledgment, but doesnt REALLY require a lengthy explanation, lol!!
