I had a Vertical Gastric Banding 17yrs ago and had a lot of complications and so my doc said the only revision he would consider is the RNY. Also, if you look statistically the sleevers have a higher percentage of gaining weight back. -

They told me just to maintain my weight and only do the liquid diet the day prior to surgery and for two weeks after. -

In my support group many of the women discuss having constipation with those. They are encouraged to make sure they are getting the 96oz of water in and taking miralax everyday. Hope this helps! -
