    Any regrets?

I am about 3 weeks post op and still go through the gammet of emotions about whether I made the right decision. I think the biggest thing is that you mourn the loss of food. Food was your friend, so you thought. It's still frustrating to me every day when I sit down to eat a meal and am enjoying the sensation of eating that I am only able to eat a few bites of it before my sleeve tells me, okay you're full, stop eating. There is no pushing through that full feeling like before. When you are full, you are full! Things like that are frustrating but then there are times that I realize I have this unbelievable tool that I never had that that self disciplined me to eat a controlled amount when in the past I just ate what I wanted to and had to rely on discipline. It is very rewarding watching the pounds fall off and seeing the person you dreamed of slowly start to emerge. So you see, there is a full array of emotions in play. Not sure when the roller coaster will end.

Wow it's starting to be so real

Thank you Porkchopexpress for what I would say is the best account for what I went through. I looked around a lot on the forum for someone who went through the depression and mourning stage that I went through. I felt a lot remorse post surgery because I felt like I lost a dear close friend. After about six days I began to feel empowered by the decision that I made and have since realized that I have been given a new lease on life. Physically, apart from horrible constipation, I have blown through the surgery in text book fashion. I have been able to eat what I need without any discomfort and get my 63-80 ounces of Water in me daily. I am 10 days post op and have lost 25 pounds . My diabetes is now all but gone and apart from some energy level issues I feel great. I found for me, the worst of this whole thing to be the little voice in my head that told me I made a mistake getting rid of my old fickle friend, insatiable appetite stomach. You are 100 percent correct in saying it is 80 percent mental and 20 percent physical. Well said!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Dry mouth?!

I have had the same problem with dry mouth since my surgery 10 days ago. It wakes me up its so bad. I thought it was from rinsing my mouth with mouthwash before bed but I passed on that the other night and still had it. I drank 80 oz of Water yesterday to try and avoid it but had it just as bad as ever last night. My nose drops constantly during the day. What is the cause of this weirdness?
