I was sleeved 2/28. I'm down 12 lbs since surgery. I'm enjoying my full liquids. Had some issues with head hunger after I came home and my family was eating foods I love, but it's getting better. It's a struggle to get in all of my fluids still, but I'm able to drink more each day. I've been having some constipation, but stool softeners help with that. I've felt like I have more energy the last couple of days, but then I overdo things and need to rest.

I'm home now. Lots of pain from the hernia repair as well as gas pain. How are you doing?

Thanks! I keep falling asleep. But I've been sucking on ice chips like a champ. I can't wait for my first walk to try to work out some of this gas pain.

I had a dream that I ate Cookies the morning of my surgery. When I realized what I had done I was so upset and couldn't believe I had done that to myself. It was scary. Just over a week to go for me!

I had to switch to decaf for my pre-op diet, but it is a clear liquid if you drink it black. I was surprised to find that they are going to allow me decaf after surgery as well. I was afraid I would have to stop it altogether. They said decaf for at least 6 weeks post op. I guess it will be up to my dietician after that.

I'm getting sleeved on the 28th, but I'm on day 4 of my pre-op diet. Time is definitely crawling, and I don't have much energy to try to stay busy and not think about it. My stomach is growling right now...

Yes. I have been approved. My insurance didn't require a letter from my PCP. I told my surgeon about my HS, and he didn't seem concerned. I'm scheduled for Feb 28 and just started pre-op diet yesterday. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
