My stomach is still sore a little bit. I'm trying to get my fluids down. Everyday is a little bit better. I had my gall bladder out in 2006, so this is familiar with my stomach. That took me about 7 days to feel normal again. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using BariatricPal mobile app

I was sleeved on the 12th. First night was a little rough. I kept thinking I was going to throw up but it was all burps. Let me just say that it hurt! Right now I am working on a sugar free popsicle, I got it off the stick so it's in chunks. I excited for this journey. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using BariatricPal mobile app

7 days out and pain

My surgeon has said no vacuuming for 3 weeks. It was specific. Something about the movement. He recommends only light housework and no lifting of anything over 10 lbs. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using BariatricPal mobile app -
My surgery is also in the 12th. It will be here before you know it! The first few days of the pre-op diet I like to refer to as my "detox". It was bad with headaches which caused me to vomit and so hungry . But after a few days I felt human again and it has gotten easier. Good luck everybody! That's a good one. Where was your "cyst" located? I'm going to be out for surgery and I work in a small office in a southern town where everybody needs to know everybody's business. I have a three people who know and support me. But everyone is going to be asking why I was off for a week. You gotta love small southern towns! I am planning on not telling people that I work with that I am having surgery. There are just too many people in my office who are judgemental and likes to give their opinions whether you want them or not. Plus, i don't think i wamt to start out with all eyes on me. The only ones who know is my boss's and supervisor. I was wondering if anyone else had the same or similar situation and how you explained your absence and everything to those who asked? No, BCBS said that my doctors office could just write a letter stating that I haven't smoked in the last 8 weeks. Nothing in my records stated I was a smoker, which I'm not, but nothing stated I wasn't. The nurse who handles all the paperwork has been out for the last 2 weeks, she will be back on Mondaubto resubmit my paperwork.

Apparently I was denied because there is no proof in my medical records that o haven't smoked in at least 8 weeks. Well, maybe that's because I haven't smoked in 9 years. I hate having to wait until tomorrow to get to the bottom of this one.

That's awesome. I saw my PCP and once he realized I have done my research and have tried to lose weight in the past be wrote me a letter. He walked out of the room and I just started crying. So much weight was lifted in that moment.

I get so mad when I think that here I am 40 years old and I have ever to get permission from someone who doesn't know me and my struggles to do something to my own body. Flashback to my teen years! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using BariatricPal mobile app

My surgeons office nurse is recommending a letter from my physician to submit to my insurance company since I haven't been on my blood pressure medicine long enough. I have to think my physician will do this because what doctor would prevent you from being a healthier you. But my fear is he will want me to try their weight loss program in their office. I did look into it last year but I knew right off it wouldn't work for me because it requires weekly visits and their office is in another town so distance and time was an issue. I don't see him until the 20th so in the meantime my mind is going in all sorts of directions. Patience has never been my strong suit when I know there is something I want.
