Dry mouth after surgery caused from CPAP
JohnOwens replied to JohnOwens's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes it has a humidifier and I've definitely checked that off the list of possible causes. This only started right after my surgery. I pretty much keep constant dry mouth now anyhow but when I wake up its monstrously exaggerated! Woke up the other morning and my upper lip was literally curled in and stuck to my front gums!!! I had to laugh but it's getting out of hand! Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem. -

So I was sleeved early January and I sleep with a CPAP machine. I noticed early on that I would wake up with a call completely dry mouth. Not just a little dry, but more like lips stuck to teeth and a tongue like sandpaper dry. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what do you do to combat it?

Ok so I found several recipes online that are like little wonton wrapper cups that look and sound amazing. Problem is finding the wrappers. I live in a very rural area and the market here just doesn't have them and the ones I found to order online are crazy expensive. I don't really want to try my hand at making them myself(there's a ton of recipes for the wrappers themselves online) , so I was wondering if anyone has tried the cup recipes before and if they had an alternative to the wrappers?

My favorite brand is Quest. I started with Unjury and I still like it but after trying quest I was hooked. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Ok so I had the vertical sleeve on 1/11/17. I haven't seen many men posting here and would like to start this thread/group consisting of only guys. We lose weight differently than women and our bodies adjust differently. We eat differently and our mindset can be different as well. So guys let's see your before and after and help each other out with any advice, support, recipes, exercise, etc. that could motivate each other! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I'm 3 weeks out and have figured out that when I get that feeling, it is due to how much I swallow and how fast. Change up how much volume you're eating and swallowing. I've found the slower I eat and the less I swallow at a time seems to really lessen the "Gas Bubble" pain. Just listen to what your body is telling you. Good luck! Was wondering if anyone knows if cabbage is okay? I have a low carb egg roll hash recipe that's really good but don't know if I can eat the cabbage. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
