Applebee's Spinach & Shrimp salad :rolleyes2: - Anyone ate it since the band??? I love that salad. Co-worker told me that she can eat salads of any kind and it goes down pretty easy and that she will order a salad when out with family or friends so she doesn't have any problems. From what I'm gathering here it seems your "want" for food changes after the band. You don't dieeeeeeeeee wanting something because your much more satified????????? Is this true? Getting close and getting scared

How much did you lose on Pre-Opt diet? What kind of diet were you on? I've lost about 4 lbs on low cal diet (still have until Wednesday May 28th) worried I should be losing 10 to 15lbs like the posts I read - doctor never told me an amount to lose - just do the diet.

Just starting and I have a question . . .
LundyLane replied to Quinny's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was 34 BMI one pound short of 35 BMI which I needed for my insurance with my high blood pressure - I stuck a one pound wieght in my pocket (shhhhh don't tell anyone) that was after the nurse at the seminar said "Make sure you wear heavy clothes when you come see the doctor" Good Luck! -
I keep seeing these post that say "when you get restriction" "before you get restriction" "3 fills before restriction" Does that mean when you get the restriction you get "full" or does that just mean your restricted so you can't eat as much but your still hungry???? I'm a little worried that I won't get the "full" feeling - I can stop eating when I'm "full" so I'm hoping that is what I'm going to feel. Guess I will find out for myself soon - but I would like to hear from everyone now on what all this means to you.

Anyone esle have this problem??? I have been following the diet below and not cheating. My Pre-Opt 14 day diet (given to me by Dr. Teel) is the following: 3 Carnation Instant Breakfast Drink No Sugar 8 oz skim or 1% milk 2 Healthy Choice (or the like of - Smart Ones etc.) 220 to 300 Calories 2 cups of low Calorie Veggies No Sauce or cheese or anything just Veggies 64 oz a day of Water or zero cal drink -

Pre-Opt diet messing with blood sugar?????
LundyLane replied to LundyLane's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for you input - something is making me feel CRAPPY  and it took 5 days into it for my body to say it! I will admit I had a Snickers bar today at work because I felt so bad I thought I was gonna die - so it's got to be the no sugar that is messing with me :wink2: I know I'm bad but I felt better after eating it! I'm still sticking with the low cal for the day.. -
Liver Still Too Large What Now?????
LundyLane replied to HlthySoon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How much are you over weight??? I've never heard of that happening - I'm sorry to hear it - keep us posted on what the doctor says. -

Your 5 year weight history may play as a factor when they look at your records. I was 1 pound short of being 35 BMI with High Blood Presure - so I made sure the day I met for the first time with the doctor I wore HEAVY clothes.

Question about liquid diet
LundyLane replied to LeslieR041906's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My Pre-Opt 14 day diet (given to me by Dr. Teel) is the following: 3 Carnation Instant Breakfast Drink No Sugar 8 oz skim or 1% milk 2 Healthy Choice (or the like of - Smart Ones etc.) 220 to 300 Calories 2 cups of low Calorie Veggies No Sauce or cheese or anything just Veggies 64 oz a day of Water or zero cal drink It all adds up to about 1000 Calories a day with any zero Calorie drinks you want I still get hungry but I have tried to spread it out over the day saving what I can for the evening because that is the hardest for me. On day 3 hasn't been to bad and I've lost 2 pounds -
I also have started my pre-opt diet (day 3) and my doctor said it's mainly to stop you from gaining weight and get you ready for lower calorie intake. I work with someone who did not even have to do the pre-opt diet - so just hang in there. Hope this helps - good luck!

Did preop process require a lot of personal time?
LundyLane replied to skinnyoneday's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you work Mon - Fri it will cost you some time off. Psych Eval took about 2 1/2 hours (mostly written test) cost me 1/2 day Nutritionist first time took 1 hour and I got a evening appointment (I think you can with most) Pre-Opt Testing took 1/2 a day (I had to take the whole day off) Then you got all the other little appoinments that take up time at the doctors office so if you can get off a 1 hour here and a 1 hour there you may be able to swing it. But the top one are the big ones Good luck -
Update on my May 12th Surgery....
LundyLane replied to CaliGirl626's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nice to read your post about your first day!! My "first day" is just around the corner - I hope for the same when my time comes  Wish you the best of luck!! I did my pre -op thing today took all morning, went well and everyone was really nice! Can wait until May 28th  Start my pre-op diet tomorrow which was better than I thought it would be just low cal about 1000 cal a day until the big day - I can do that! -
I've heard people talk about food being "Stuck" then I read a post were someone said "Stuck" is the same as filling "Full"???????? Is it??? I heard stuck food hurts - does full hurt too?? My concern is that I'm not going to be full - I understand I will still want stuff but this is gonna be really hard if I'm straving and just can eat anymore because I'm stuck If you banded people don't mind give me a idea of your feelings and did you get that straving feeling and just could not eat or do you really have the full feeling (I understand you can be full and still "want" to eat). Thanks for all the input  just trying to get ready as can be for my banding :frown:
