Yes agreed this is head hunger. I dealt with during pre op liquid diet. Make sure you are drinking every hour. This helps me tons! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I would say drink more water or liquid. That's head hunger. I dealt with that during my pre op liquid diet. I made sure I drank every hour. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Gas PAINS!!!!! Liquids Post Op!!
regnamie replied to Beavuz842's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told any clear soup strained like miso, or light chicken noodle and creamy soups that are light. All have to be strained and light. Low carbs and sugar. I really like "better than bouillon". Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Gas PAINS!!!!! Liquids Post Op!!
regnamie replied to Beavuz842's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I lay on my side with a pillow up to my chest. Also a heating pad. Pushes the air out. I wasn't able to pass gas until yesterday. My surgery was 2/8. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

I am struggling pouring the capsules on my pudding. I am four days post op and tried mixing with Water but they didn't dissolve. I tried pudding today an it was terrible. I had to choke down. Any other ideas? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My thought exactly! This was my same dilemma. I only needed that initial weigh in and I could lose what I wanted. My surgery is scheduled for 2/8! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My insurance requirements were different. I, myself am borderline BMI and once I contacted the insurance company with thoughts of WLS they assigned me a nurse case manager that recorded my weight and I made an appointment with my primary care so I could have my weight documented. I was encouraged to lose as much weight as possible even before it was submitted to insurance. My dr called me on 1/13 and I had a response back from insurance 1/15 that I was approved. The insurance company did require 6 months of documented weight loss attempts and they could be from any months within the past three years as long as it specified the "weight loss" reference and included my weight.
