  1. The goal is 65kg I’m currently at 77kg started at 131kg and this is my first stall had my surgery Jan 17 and tips for making it to goal, I’m training hard eating right as lost 9 stone so far but really want to get to 65kg
  2. Hey bud I was operated 14/01/17 so just over the 1 year mark, I started at 132kg and down to 74.5kg, the quantity restrictions are still there just not as small as when you first start so more socially acceptable amounts lol, the hunger pains which were my problem before surgery are still epic I eat because it is a meal time not because I am starving! And don’t snack anymore The weight loss is slowing down but the magic certainly hasn’t stop, you just need to make sure you don’t slip into any bad habits as it is the year mark where you will see if you have made the correct lift style choices for the future. I actually enjoy the gym now and my life has been give back to me!! Any other questions give me a shout

Need advice from 1+ year plus

So how did you deal with it if you don’t mind me asking, do you still have that now
  4. Hey guys So had my surgery this time last year at my heaviest I was 21 stone or 131kg and over the last year I have lost over 9 stone, back the gym regularly. However just recently I have noticed I have been having small dizzy spells, I think it is low blood pressure, a midwife friend said it could hypoglycaemia. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this My food diary is typical to this Breakfast 8:30 200ml granola 200ml semi skimmed milk 200ml fresh orange Snack 10:00 2 hard boiled eggs Lunch 12:30 Wrap with salad and various meat filling each day Snack 10calorie jelly pot Dinner Genuinely chicken, rice and veggies I don’t drink tea or coffee so it’s diluting juice mainly which I would say I am not bad at drinking (could always be better) Any advice on foods or experience would be greatly appreciated
  5. Yeah I am not a big drinker, I can go months without a drop, don't drink in the house or anything just at events, I used to be Air Force and drink with the lads but not any more and I had a bad accident and couldnt walk hence food took over wasn't even bad food it was the pure quantity of what I had, yeah I was proper smashed I used to be beer and cider but avoiding carbonated drink and realised wine is far to easy to drink
  6. Thanks guys, think I was just beating myself up as it's my first slip since the surgery (but realised a big one lol) think being back at work after the bank holiday is helping me get into my routine and will sweat it out in the gym mates thanks for the support guys really appreciate it xx
  7. I am 5 months post op, I have over 5 and 1/2 stone far, but at the weekend I went out and decided to have a few glasses of wine, not before surgery I was a cider/beer person but I know to stay away from carbonated drinks. Well the wine obviously went straight to my head and I lost all control, I landed up drinking almost 3 entire bottles of rose wine, even before surgery I could only ever have handled one bottle, this was on Saturday night and now it is Tuesday I am still be absolutely rubbish both physically and obviously mentally as well. Obviously it was a massive wake up call that I am not ready to drink again, but I am genuinely worried if I have damaged my liver or kidneys, I'm trying to keep as hydrated as possible, but my stomach is clearly out of sync, which is then just making the guilt cycle in my head. I am so mad at myself for not having control when I have been doing so well. Was just wondering if anyone has any advice or similar stories on this as I have given myself a real scare
  8. Fit like Griffey, will pop in at the weekend thanks, I actually had my surgery in Glasgow at BMI Ross Hall, but I live I Forres up in moray near Inverness, and thanks to everyone else for the advice just doing so well don't want to derail x

    January Sleevers Check-In

Hey I was 14th Jan and lost 27kg around 59.5 lbs so almost 1/3 of the way there
  10. Yeah see I haven't been weighing I have a wee Tupperware box that are 250ml and I been using that for measuring maybe have to get some scales, so worried about over eating are you from the states? I am in north of Scotland in the U.K.
  11. Hey everyone had my operation 14th Jan this year and was 131kg (288lbs) had the sleeve everything went great, back on the fitness and most solids lost 27kg (59.5lbs) so far not sure if that is good or bad compared to other people but I am happy it is slowly coming off So question time, at the moment I am using little 250ml tubs which I think is about 8 oz but not sure, what size of portions are people currently on when they are this far out, how to measure out your meals? I worried I am going to stretch, I am stopping when I am full and using side plate and kids fork just wondered actual portions other people are having

    Hunger pains. What the eff?!

See I was told the opposite I should be only be having 3 meals a day equally spaced out (the joys of the medical world eh) will try another egg see how I get on, I was thinking cereal like bran but not sure if that wise with the hole no liquids with food, are you guys still take just single sips I can take like 3 mouthfuls of juice worried that it is 2 much [emoji51]

I am six weeks also, I only time I struggle is mid morning, I'm ok once I have had my lunch I am having 1 poached egg (nothing else ) for breakfast, should I maybe up that 2 eggs or what you you guys having, I lost 18kg so around the 40lbs mark so far.

    Drinking alcohol

This it is more about slowing down the weigh loss process and empty calories, my medical team said just trial and error so as long as your not feeling pain...horse on I say! And just make sure you make it up in the gym!!! Life to short to drink cheap wine lol Good luck on your journey
