    Testerone Replacement Therapy

There are a lot of variables, but I was concerned after surgery and with my age (late thirty's at the time). I went work lab work on at 40 and all I had was low vitamin d. I think it's going to be an individual thing, but don't forget that there's a lot of hormones stored in fat and the rapid weight loss will release a lot of testosterone, it definitely did for me
  2. It's fine, the idea of healthy weight is universal. I feel the same. Smart BMI has me at about 220-230. If I hit 240 before plastics, I'd be happy, but that's with boxing 3 days a week, lifting 2 days and I'm starting yoga probably twice a week in March (before boxing). I want to win one amateur fight before I hang it up and go over to mostly lifting and yoga. Sent from my Nexus 6P using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. I don't want to offend you, but my answer is based on personal experience. I've heard this from several women and they have all been larger women themselves. It had little to do with me or my health. It was based on their image of what THEY looked like. To put it plainly, they just didn't want to be the fatter one. I'm 6-5 and I'm on a very large frame. Even at that size 270 (for me) would still be about 40-50 lbs overweight, unless you're doing some serious lifting and have but on some big muscle. I know you love your wife, but don't let her personal issues interfere with your health. I could also be totally wrong about the root cause, but the result is the same. Exactly, most of the attention I've received has been from women with significant others. It really starts to make you wonder about relationships in general. Sent from my Nexus 6P using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. The DR. Should be able to tell you about potential costs, but be on the lookout for the nickel and dime stuff like constant copays. I went back to work after a week, but I work from home. If I had to drive I would've taken two weeks. Budget for new clothes and whatever vitamins, protein, dietary changes you'll have to account for. Sent from my Nexus 6P using BariatricPal mobile app

    Extra / Loose Skin

It depends on several factors. We are pretty close in height (6'-5") and I'm down to about 345 from a high of 640. My goal weight is 250 so I'm a reasonably large person to begin with. If you're on a smaller frame and have more to lose, you may have some. Genetics, age, how much excess weight, and how long you had it will all factor in. I can say that even with the excess, I'm still much happier and getting opportunities that I never had before. Sent from my Nexus 6P using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. It's not the same, but I've been going to boxing regularly and getting sporadic lessons. I can tell you that I've had to "relearn" some technique as I'm much lighter on my feet. I was tripping over my own feet, so some movements weren't correct anymore, if that makes sense. Its definitely worth it though. I think the actual pose/stance might be ok though, you might be looser with more mobility. Sent from my Nexus 6P using BariatricPal mobile app

Guys who started over 400 lbs.

I ha some severe swelling in one leg, due to fluid and some lymphedema in both legs. The swelling is gone, but the discoloration is still there. It doesn't look awesome, but it's not hindering me like the swelling was. Sent from my Nexus 6P using BariatricPal mobile app

    Life with CPAP

It takes some getting used to. I went with a full face mask eventually, it provided the most "normal" breathing for me. On the plus side you may be able to get off it eventually. I'm down about 125lbs since surgery in January. I was able drop my CPAP after about 80lbs lost. Sent from my Nexus 6P using BariatricPal mobile app

I think mine is all mental also. I don't think I've been physically hungry since the surgery. Sent from my Nexus 6P using BariatricPal mobile app

My appetite did come back though, so it's a bit more work than it was. (Sleeve on 1/23/17) HW 640 SW 470 CW 345 Sent from my Nexus 6P using BariatricPal mobile app

Same here. Down from a 60/30 pant to a 60/32 (pants sitting higher I guess). Shirt went from 6x to a 4x. I've given away my wardrobe, twice. [emoji26] Sent from my Nexus 6P using BariatricPal mobile app

Not buying new clothes till at goal.

I tried to hold out, but it got ridiculous. I've lost about 120lb since January. I went from a 6 -7x shirt down to a 4x (still a little baggy, but looks much better). I'm down to a 48 (actually a 47 at the tailor, but what can you do, lol) from a 60. The biggest change was underwear, 2x from a 6x. I've given away so many clothes it's ridiculous. I have one co-worker and his brother is close to my size, he basically got a whole new wardrobe. Sent from my Nexus 6P using BariatricPal mobile app
