Lol, I feel your pain. I'd love to try one of those big whirlpool tubs, just once.

I definitely get cravings. There are times I think I would fight a child for some french fries! But I try to.just focus on the goals ahead. You have so many things in reach now. Are they worth a snack?

Those look pretty cool! I saved that link. Since I'm really still at the protein only stage (don't have room for the veggies yet). I found these small ziplock containers at the grocery store. They only hold about 6ozs, so its perfect. I can do my meal prep and stack them in the freezer.

I know I'm crazy but...
HB76356 replied to Dashofpixiedust8's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yeah, I'm going thru the same thing. Over the last 7years I lost about 120, so I never saw the difference. Then I lost another 50, still look the same to me. Now post surgery, I'm like OK, sooner or later, lol. It's definitely an issue, but I try to go by the scale and how my clothes fit. -
Great advice. The nurses kept asking if I was passing the gas, but I never did. I was constantly burping, which they thought was odd, but it worked, lol.

Recipes after gastric sleeve
HB76356 replied to hdsjourney's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been doing well with my crock pot. You can make some awesome stuff in there. If you google keto Crock-Pot recipient there's some awesome stuff I found a carne asada recipe that was awesome. -
Probably not the same plan, but I have Aetna also. They had 30 days, but they took about weeks.

I've only really had one person question it that way and I asked them to point out one person we know that lost weight on one of these plans and kept it off. I'm still waiting for an answer.

Liquids vs food for protein does it matter?
HB76356 replied to LaurieQue's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I never had the puree stage I just took chicken, shredded it and put.it.in broth. I weigh my food carefully and stop, even if I don't feel full (which I definitely do when it comes to the denser chicken and beef. Fish, I haven't really had to much of because I definitely felt hungry after I ate it. I think I'll try salmon. Sounds.ds like you're doing great! -
Wendy's chili maybe?
-
Do you have Chick-fil-A? Their grilled nuggets don't look to bad

How you gonna make the fellas wait? See how you are, lol.

I don't think those are all 'post op' issues. The 'gaining attention' sure. But try to enjoy it. Imagine it from a guys perspective. Once the weight is off, what women do I approach? I don't have the years of practice, lol. Receiving complements - I think lots of women (and some men) struggle with that, combine some self-esteem issuing with not wanting to be conceited and boom. Just try to take them in the spirit they are given. If a guy says, "you're the best thing I've seen all day." Hey, if he's cute, ask him where he's been. Lol. Dating etiquette - that's a loaded one. You have to find a balance. I tend to enjoy learning about people, warts and all, so I'm hard to shock, bit you can overshare with some people. Again, something we all go through. Working thru issues - another loaded one. Personally, I've tried (with some success) to take people art face value. Just try to keep your eyes and ears open. Sometimes the signs are there, but we don't want to be alone. Dating is like a job interview. People try to put their best foot forward. Eventually (I have a six month theory) the real them comes out.

Anyone gain weight in the pre-opt stage
HB76356 replied to crawford8903's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't gain, but around the 4th month (6 month wait per insurance with 2lbs a month lost.) I just doubled down on the nutrition and the gym and lost about 47 all together. You take whatever happens with the nutritionist and keep moving forward. There will be plenty of ups and downs. -
Burning/Stinging sensations 4 days post op
HB76356 replied to Melisa G's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a little of that. If it gets to be a bit much, definitely call your doc. Luckily (or unluckily [emoji52]) I had some knee surgery back in the day and I remembered the same thing happened, plus itching! But again, everyone is different so don't hesitate to call your doc. -
Fair warning, I'm no expert. I did the same thing you did. I'm a bit older and have been in some relationship s, but each time I realized at some point that there was a dynamic of 'be happy I'm here'. Since having my surgery (very recent- last month). I decided that I'm going to focus on all the things I couldn't do when I was at my heaviest. If the right girl comes along the way, even better! But I'm done just being satisfied with 'having someone.' If guys are paying you attention, that's awesome, just make sure that the guy you pick had the things you've been wanting Nobody's perfect, so don't go crazy, but stick to your basic criteria and have fun!

Gastric Sleeve Surgery Set for Monday 2/20/17!

Good luck, let us know how it goes. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App -
I looked at the smartbmi calculation. It was the only one that took body type into account. I'm just shy of 6-5 and on a larger frame so it said: 230. Seemed OK, I'll reassess as I get closer. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App

What's Your Goal Weight Gift to Yourself?
HB76356 replied to Newme17's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's what I'm doing, I first started squirreling money away each payday in case the insurance wouldn't cover the procedure, luckily they did so now that goes over to the plastic surgery fund. A co-worker was able to get some work covered, ( I started at such a high weight, fingers crossed I can do the same. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App -

I like to go to the track, drag racing and Autocross, so I'm leaning towards a 4th generation Camaro like this: https://www.google.com/search?q=4th+gen+camaro&safe=off&client=ms-android-google&prmd=isvn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj39OfCi5vSAhXi6YMKHYHxCzwQ_AUIBygB&biw=412&bih=604#imgdii=CZsZMjO0mA-6EM:&imgrc=r8QSJnwUePO4BM: Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App -

I'm going to buy one of the cars I always wanted, but couldn't fit in! Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App -
Went to the auto show yesterday. As a big car guy, it's always been bittersweet. I love cars, but don't fit in half of them, lol. This year was much better! I was excited to see what the weight loss had done. Last time I went, I was about 520. This year, 446. Quick reference. I did play football as an offensive and defensive lineman in school, so I guess I have to accept some cars aren't going to work no matter what. [emoji35][emoji3] Corvette - lol, I don't think this one is ever going to happen my shoulder was sitting over on the other seat. Mustang - actually fit comfortably. Audi TT- only got in because the Audi guy was adamant, lol. But he was right. Damned if I didnt fit. With some more weight loss, it would be downright roomy. Cadillac CTS-V - last go rounds heartbreak. Success, this time! Can't wait to see next year! Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App
