Wahoo! I just had my 3rd pre-op nutrition appt. and I'm -20lbs! I REALLY need to increase my exercise if anybody has any motivational tips.

Wow! 20lbs is awesome. Great job! What changes have you made to get that loss? I'll have my second apt tomorrow but am not expecting a loss--simply for the weight training that I've been doing. Depends on what exercise you've been doing, if cardio, then add in some weights. Build that muscle, it'll burn the fat and change your body shape too. :)

Most of my changes are nutritional. I have been adding the treadmill and recumbent bike into the mix but not nearly enough. It seems like I have a lot of excuses and little action. What's worse it that I OWN both pieces of machinery and never have to leave my home to use them!!! I really shouldn't have any excuses at all, yet I do. "It's lonely down there" "There's a dead mouse in a trap (occasionally)" "This music sucks". I'm in some sort of funk I can't shake it seems. I don't know how to get out of my own head!

That's great actually. Because I've learned over 80% of our physique is due to our diets anyway. I just made small changes, mostly just replacing breakfast with a protein shake, whether I make it or drink a pre-made. I try to make sure most snacks are high protein. Haven't mastered sipping water and not drinking it with meals though. Oh, and haven't totally let go of my coffee either. I have a couple of months to get things straight. I hear you on the exercise equipment. I never enjoyed working out at home though. So I opt for the gym. Currently I'm out of commission due to a shoulder injury (someone backed their car in to me--literally). Hopefully it helps quick so I can get back to weights.
(Blowing whistle like a super disciplined coach) ???♀️??♀️No more excuses!!! Ride that bike! Do those weights!!! I know you've got it in you!! Don't quit on yourself!!!!! You can do this!!!!! ?
blessings on your journey hon!
