  3. Hey all! Everyone is doing awesome! I am now down to 208. I hit my first plateau and it was painful but not as painful as it was in the past (before surgery). It sure is nice to see the scale moving again. Thanks for posting!
  4. Wow! You are so close to onederland! You are doing great! We have similar stats...I can't wait until I am 5lbs away. That will be a momentous occasion!
  5. Got my 2nd fill for a total of 3.75cc's in a realize band. Also down to 212lbs...thanks for posting!
  6. Hey all! I got my 2nd fill and now have a total of 3.75cc's in my realize band. I also am down to 212lbs! Thanks for posting!
  7. Wonderful! NSV's are the best! Fitting back into clothes always puts me in a good mood. Does anyone else feel like for the first time in years our bodies are normal again? Maybe it is because our body chemistry has changed; I finally feel like finally my body is my friend and not my foe. :w00t:
  8. Hey all...just got back from my second fill. I now have a total of 3.75cc's in my band. He said I should be alot more restricted...and I hope I am not too restricted. Some days I have trouble getting food down. So anyway hopefully this fill will help me bust through the 200lb barrier. It sure has been a long time since I have seen good old onederland! Hope everyone is doing good this week...hang tough!
  9. Exactly, I usually drink a glass of water first thing in the morning followed by a protein shake or if I have time I will make eggs with some shredded cheese. Lunch is usually tuna, turkey or roastbeef and 1/4 of an apple. For dinner I usually have chicken, steak or fish with a serving of green beans or a small salad. No carbs meaning no starchy carbs...Potatoes, bread, corn etc. But like I said one day a week I allow myself to have those things just not in excess...I like to call this day "free day", it gives me something to look forward to. Also, if I am particularly hungry one day I might throw in a couple cheese sticks. It definitely hasn't been easy but I sure am not starving! Thanks to me ol' band. Once 75 percent of the weight is off then I can start incorporating the starchy carbs back in. The carbs I believe from what I remember are used to help maintain your final weight. More carbs= lose less...Less carbs=lose more. This diet sure isn't breath friendly either:eek:...but if I have bad breath then I know I am doing what I should be doing. My kids sure don't like it though...Mom you stink! I chew alot of sugar free gum so I can still get kisses! I go for my second fill tomorrow and boy do I sure need it...have been losing the same two lbs for a couple of weeks.
  10. That is what my Dr and nutritionists have suggested. No carbs until I lose 75 percent of the weight. I have slowly added back in vegetables and fruit. Their point is that you need to try to lose as much weight as possible in the first year. I am a carb addict too and it was hard for awhile but now I breeze right through it. Although, my little secret is that one day a week I do eat something I really want as long as the band allows me too. So far it has worked for me...just don't tell my Dr! It sure gives me something to look forward to as well. Good Luck...I know it is not easy!
  11. down to 215.8...thanks for posting!
  12. Down to 215.8...50lbs gone. I go for second fill on 3/11. Thanks for posting!
  13. Have faith! I have only lost 5 lbs this last month. I seemed really tight for the first couple of months, sometimes water would not go down. I have not weighed out my portions(slapping wrist) but I have not been able to eat that much. Some days are worse than others for whatever reason. My weightloss really slowed when I started exercising too. Now lately I have been able to consume way too much. Time for my second fill...I hope this does the trick. I am down to 215.8. Officially 50lbs lost. But this weight is what I was for years...so I am expecting a battle to get past here. I am constantly surprised that I have been able to lose weight consistently without feeling deprived. I bet you will see a difference with your fill.
  14. HI Everyone! I haven't been here in awhile either. I am now down to 219.I have lost 47lbs so far in 3 months. Pretty happy with the results. So glad I made the move to go through with surgery. The weightloss has slowed a bit. I am guessing I am due for a fill here soon since I have only had one so far. Hope you are all doing great! Thanks again for posting info!
  15. Hey all Notorious Novembers! I sure am loving my band! I go tomorrow for my first fill and nutritional seminar. I feel like the band is the best thing that ever happened to me. For the first time losing weight seems natural. I am not starving to death and I don't need to exercise like crazy. I do feel my port quite a bit too. Especially when getting up from a sitting position it is a little uncomfortable. But I am able to sleep on my stomach and that makes me so happy!!! Glad to hear everyone is doing so good too. 2009 sure is going to be a different year for all of us! Kp:tongue2:
