Introduction to new "foods"
AJsDream replied to mbuczkowski's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe buy an Oikos drinkable yogurt. The strawberry one is delicious. Yougurt is heavy though. Maybe it's best to stick to protein shakes for now. The premier ones from Costco are super tasty. -

I was in panic mode just a few days out, too. That problem went away by about Day 6/7. It's been 3 weeks now and I feel awesome! Also 27 lbs down. Stick with the liquids as long as you can! It's so worth it. -
I lost a full 20 lbs the first 9 days buy I've been stalled 5 days since. Yes, I'm only 2 weeks out but I'm not taking in any food, how can I not be losing weight? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I was sleeved on 1/19. Took about 7 days to get through the post op difficulties then on day 8 I felt great and ready to jump back into my life. Walking during those days REALLY helped get better faster. I'm now 23lbs down from surgery day. It was very difficult and painful for me to get the liquids down the first week and now (day 11) I'm comfortable drinking almost as usual and without pain. I'm hungry now, but I can keep up my full liquids for the 30 days my surgeon instructed, mostly because it's paying off so quickly. It's hard cooking for the kids and seeing and smelling yummy foods but my eye is on the prize so I'm dealing with it. I'm glad I did the surgery, even though I freaked out the whole first week. Good luck, everyone! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I'm 8 days out and it still pains me to swallow tiny sips of Water. I can't imagine being able to eat a piece of bread, but I guess that helps me stay on track! Lol Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -
Messed up already?

3 days post op. Doctor has me on 30 days of full liquid diet. Having trouble getting liquids down so thinking of popsicles. Do you think creamsicles would be ok? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
