So I’m not there yet but today is my 5 month surgiversary!! Starting weight 273, surgery weight 260, today 192. My goal weight is 165 so more to go. I may revise my goal when I get there but I’ve never been that weight as an adult so not sure what I’ll look like when I get there lol. So happy I made the leap and thank you all for the support, tips and sharing. I don’t have a picture just before surgery as I hated photos of myself but here is one that a friend took when I wasn’t aware, at my biggest. The second one was taken yesterday.

I don’t yet have an after photo because I had my surgery this past Tuesday (September 21st), but I will share my very uncomfortable before photos just so I can really keep up with myself. I’m not proud of these photos, but I am proud of myself for getting through that surgery and being on the other side now!

Congratulations! 46 lbs looks amazing on you! I just had my surgery Tuesday and posts like yours give me hope!

Ok was that supposed to convince us you are over 50?!? Not buying it! Or you were blessed with fountain of youth genes!

Pilot my best self. Thank you! I started at 230. Now 136. I’m 5’2” and 63 yes old. I’d say the first 70 lbs came off steadily more or less. Then I was at 157 for at least 6 months and I thought that was it. I went to my doctor, who said I was doing fine, but he gave me a prescription for Saxenda, which is really for diabetes but helps you lose weight too. Then all of a sudden I started loosing again. I’m not sure if I’ll go much lower, but not putting it back is really the trick. thanks for being so nice.

Do not give up, stop worrying about stalling and just stick with it. I am 4 years out from my surgery. This is a process. You did the right surgery! Concentrate on other things you like to do. I’ve lost 95 lbs and I’m still loosing! There have been plenty of stalls. Started at 230. I’m 5’2”. When you stress you eat more, so just try to enjoy your life. It will happen.

I went in to discuss and the response was that I just have a really slow metabolism, which I really already knew. It’s beyond frustrating when so many are posting “30lbs since surgery “. Let’s try to keep the faith, stay between 800-1000 calories and mostly Protein. I have to believe that at some point this will get faster. I have no choice. Good luck!!

So we have passed the 6 month mark. I’ve lost 56 lbs and I’m in size 12 now. I feel good. I’ve been at this weight for about 5 weeks now. The doctor had warned me that there is a slow down at this point, but I’m ready to get going again. Very frustrating for me. Everyone telling me how great I look, it I’ve lost all perspective. I go between feeling like I’m thin and feeling like I have a long, long way to go.

I’m at the exact same place as you. Same 6 months out and up and down the same 2 lbs. it’s frustrating, but I’m hopeful if I stay on course, more weight will come off. I absolutely can eat more that I did a few months ago and it’s scary.

7 months out and I just gained 2 lbs too but I am not recording it. I refuse to put it on my ticker! Those lbs need to leave! Lost several ounces yesterday. Also working out, eating is very stable. I don’t know what it going on but I want to keep losing. What is this? I had a stall once at around 3 months. Is this a 6-7 month stall?

Woot! Today I reached 100 pounds lost. It is difficult to wrap my mind around. The other day I hauled a 40lb bag of dog food upstairs - and the thought that I have lost 2.5x that amount is both impressive and unsettling. I'm including a screenshot of my before and after SmartBMI calculations. If I'm feeling brave enough, I may post a before and after body shot in the stickied thread.
