  1. @Ms.sss too nice, but yes 63. That pic is far away! Here I am with my husband, closer up!
  2. Pilot my best self. Thank you! I started at 230. Now 136. I’m 5’2” and 63 yes old. I’d say the first 70 lbs came off steadily more or less. Then I was at 157 for at least 6 months and I thought that was it. I went to my doctor, who said I was doing fine, but he gave me a prescription for Saxenda, which is really for diabetes but helps you lose weight too. Then all of a sudden I started loosing again. I’m not sure if I’ll go much lower, but not putting it back is really the trick. thanks for being so nice.

Do not give up, stop worrying about stalling and just stick with it. I am 4 years out from my surgery. This is a process. You did the right surgery! Concentrate on other things you like to do. I’ve lost 95 lbs and I’m still loosing! There have been plenty of stalls. Started at 230. I’m 5’2”. When you stress you eat more, so just try to enjoy your life. It will happen.
  4. My surgery was August 2017.
  5. 46w4kds I’m so happy for you! you look fantastic!! I’m turning 60 and it’s definitely harder the older you are. you were very smart to take control of your life when you did!!
  6. Checking in as we get closer to 1 yr post op. So I’ve lost between 60-63 lbs. I’ve been around 170 for several months and I’m getting the idea that I’ve lived out here. 150 was my goal, and who knows if I can get there, but if not I can live with where I am. That may have something to do with why I don’t really lose...even though I eat less, I still only yearn for carbs, so I’m confident I’m sabotaging to some degree. I’m not clear if any of the original same Aug/2107 people are still following, but if you are - how are you all doing?
  7. So we have passed the 6 month mark. I’ve lost 56 lbs and I’m in size 12 now. I feel good. I’ve been at this weight for about 5 weeks now. The doctor had warned me that there is a slow down at this point, but I’m ready to get going again. Very frustrating for me. Everyone telling me how great I look, it I’ve lost all perspective. I go between feeling like I’m thin and feeling like I have a long, long way to go.
  8. I’m at the exact same place as you. Same 6 months out and up and down the same 2 lbs. it’s frustrating, but I’m hopeful if I stay on course, more weight will come off. I absolutely can eat more that I did a few months ago and it’s scary.
  9. I’m exactly in the same boat. 5 weeks post-op. Lost 20lbs Pre-surgery and almost 10 since. It’s very frustrating to see the same number day after day. People say not to weigh yourself, but that does not work for me. I know 2 lbs avg a week is good for Weight Watchers, but I did expect to be down at least 20 by now. Feeling a little low - I can’t lie.

    This didn't work for me

I wanted to reach out since I’m losing like you are loosing - slowly. [emoji853] HW 230 Sw 211 CW 200 I went in to discuss and the response was that I just have a really slow metabolism, which I really already knew. It’s beyond frustrating when so many are posting “30lbs since surgery “. Let’s try to keep the faith, stay between 800-1000 calories and mostly protein. I have to believe that at some point this will get faster. I have no choice. Good luck!!
  11. Doctor said I’m doing fine- the weight will come off - just that I have won the lottery of slow metabolisms! Also he had to clean out one of the wounds- which has still been oozing a little so many weeks out, but all in all everything is on track. I’m relieved!
  12. Checking in again. I have lost only 8 lbs since the surgery. I’m sticking to the program consistently. Now that I’m really eating solid food, I’m eating less than when I was on soft food. I get heartburn and feel nauseous often as well. Happily I have a doctor’s apt. Tuesday, so I’ll let you know what they say.
